    Default John Adams mini-series

Are you watching this Mini-Series on HBO? What do you think?

It stars Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney as John and Abigail Adams, plus David Morse as George Washington.

I watched the first 2 parts and have the 3rd sitting in my DVR waiting for me to watch it. I love Paul Giamatti, I'll pretty much watch anything he's in, same goes for Laura Linney. It's really well done, but I've found it tends to move VERY slow for me. I have to be in the right kind of mood to actually watch a part all the way through.

The critics ripped into Paul but we decided to watch it anyway and it's been very good so far. I like how they treated their wigs like hats, flinging them here and there.

Oh the part about the French with their tons of make up Ben did like his ladies

They have it on OnDemand if you have that. I plan to try to watch this but as someone else said, I will have to be "in the mood." Looks good though.

The teeth become more accurate in the last episode.

I think it's going through time too fast. I'm having a hard time keeping up with the time passage. At the beginning of an episode, it's 1784, by the end it's 1789. I thought the war was over fairly quickly, too.

Overall, it's a good series. Def. recommended.

FYI--HBO is running a marathon on Friday is anyone wants to catch up.

I agree it is moving along really quickly, from what I understand there are supposed to be quite a few episodes but Adams is already gray headed and vice president.

I love it! I was pleasantly surprised to see how involved his wife was, and feel that Laura Linney does a great job!
Paul usually drives me nuts, but I really like him in this series. I couldn't believe we'd actually see him in a "sex" scene either...

I also enjoy Paul Giamatti, but I have a hard time watching him without yelling Pig Vomit at the TV.

I'm really enjoying it. They did a great job creating Boston.

Wasn't David Morse who plays George Washington so accurate looking? he was a dead ringer for Washington.

The guy who plays Thomas Jefferson is a hottie. I enjoyed watching him.

Laura Linney is always fab in everything. She's so talented. They were great together. Although I was kind of surprised that the Adams left their kids for that many years when they went to France. So many that they didn't even recognize them when they came back. It sounds like the one son had some problems. I'll have to read the book. It's suppose to be good.

I agree David Morse is doing a great job, looks like he is getting more screen time next week.
