Michael Douglas got fairly personal in his acceptance speech. Thanked CZJ and referenced her as his wife. She still is, of course, but I guess it struck me as interesting if they're splitting. Also mentioned his imprisoned son and said he hopes they let him see him soon. Is the kid not allowed visitors right now? I have not kept up with his case at all.

I liked the Claire Danes Audi commercial. Jordan? hahaha

I was just about to ask if I just heard Claire Danes reference Jordan Catalano in an Audi commercial.

Aw, I have a soft spot in my heart for Vince Gilligan. He wrote some of my favorite episodes of The X-Files.

I agree with the grumbling on Twitter. Larry Hagman, 5 decades of work but they do a tribute to Cory Monteith. Linda Gray and Barbara Eden could have done a nice tribute to him.

I'm so happy Michael Douglas won. He deserved the praise. He was awesome in that role!!!

I hate how the Emmy panders to the young. Yes Cory Monteith's death was untimely and tragic but how about recognizing those who had been on our television sets for decades. I guess that is my I'm old and get off my lawn moment.

Vince Gilligan will always be a straight up genius in my eyes!

Mr. Corn was ranting about that this morning and he didn't even watch the show. Read about it I guess. How does one half of The Odd Couple NOT get a tribute?

Thank you! I was furious. As usual, they glorify the drug addict who overdosed while ignoring those who deserve honor.

I think this years Emmy' s was so fking boring. Tired of Neil Please get someone else for next year to host. It was great that they mentioned Jack Klugman and Larry Hagman. Why did they mention that guy from Glee? shit he over dosed on drugs, who cares? Happy to see that Michael won, but I was rooting for Al. Also happy that Jim Parsons won his third Emmy, screw you Alec Baldwin ha, ha. I thought Kerry Washington looked gorgeous. I was rooting for Jessica to win for AHS but sad she lost.
I just hope they get a different host for next year.

I think other actors should have been honored because of their long careers or iconic roles, but I wasn't offended by a drug addict being eulogized. His death is a good reminder to his young fans what can happen when that bitch addiction gets the upper hand. Plus, it being such a shock, and he at the height of his fame ... I see why they went with him. Yes I'd have preferred Jack or Larry.

And Larry was a 50+ year long term addict (booze). Just pure luck that didn't kill him.

20 years from now no one will remember Monteith, unlike Klugman and Hagman.

Larry sobered up though. Stayed clean the rest of his life.

You're right...20 years from now, no one will remember Monteith.

I didn't know who he was when he died, so it's not going to take 20 years for Monteith to fade into obscurity.
