Default Joe Strummer -- The Future Is Unwritten

I was reading our local paper the other day and saw a review for this film about the life of Joe Strummer "The Future Is Unwritten."

JOE STRUMMER - THE FUTURE IS UNWRITTEN [OFFICIAL SITE]

The review was terrific (not that I pay any attention to reviews in general).

I had no idea that there was even a film made about Joe Strummer (I'm out of the loop when it comes to movies).

But I have GOT to see this film! I won't go to the theatre, though, I'll ask Mr. Pippin to get me the DVD.

Has anyone else heard of this film?

I saw it and really liked it.

The Clash was the first concert I ever saw. They played the Palladium in NY, I was 9 and my dad took me. The greatest!!!!!!

I saw them open for the Who at Shea Stadium in 1982, again with my Dad. Unbelievable experience.

You did? I will ask Mr. Pippin to get the DVD for me on your recommendation. I rarely ask him to get movies for me, but I want to see this one.

You are lucky! I was never lucky enough to see The Clash perform, more's the pity.

I saw The Who, though, a couple of times. I was with friends, though...and not my dad, which goes to show you how old I am. I don't think my dad would have taken me to a rock concert anyway; he was a classical music lover.

God, back in the day, ticket prices were about five bucks for big name bands like The Who, Elton John, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, etc.

Maybe once some more of us get to see it, we can talk about it....I imagine that the music is going to be amazing.
