Juno
Never has teen pregnancy seemed so adorable! I just got back from seeing Juno, and I just loved it! It's so cute and witty and quirky, I can't say enough good things about it. The acting was superb, the writing brilliant and the characters lovably absurd. I highy recommend it. Has anyone else seen it/thoughts?

I loved this movie! Ellen Page is amazing, her character was just perfect. Michael Cera is so cute and lovable. I also think that Jennifer Garner was great as an obsessive woman who just wants to have a baby.
I think the sweetest part was when Juno was in the hospital afterwards and her dad is there stroking her hair. It was so tender and kind.

my husband & i both absolutely adored this movie. i want to go see it again. ellen page was great & i can't wait to see her in something else (saw a clip of her on letterman from the other night...she was hilarious!).
the music was also superb...especially the kimya dawson & moldy peaches songs.

Haven't seen it yet but my co-worker just did and she's absolutely raving about it. I'll spend the $10 to see this one(I'm a cheapass and usually wait for the DVD)

I loved it, and hubby really liked it to, despite going in thinking it would be a 'chick flick'.
The casting was brilliant, and I loved the little stuff, too. Like the fact that Jennifer Garner's house was no longer perfectly manicured at the end, and all those little moments of realization...and you can really follow what each character is thinking, even though they're all so different. Definite A+

How cute was this movie? And I was really starting to like Jason Bateman's character until the whole slow dance scene. Too bad really.
My 14 year old son saw it with my husband and I, and when we were sitting waiting for our table at the restaurant afterwards I told him that just for reference I wouldn't react nearly as nicely or with as much wit and laughter as her parents had, if he ever knocked up some girl in highschool. I also told him he wouldn't have to worry about what the girls dad might do to him cause it would be a walk in the park compared to what I'd do.

I'd be exactly like her parents. I'd be disappointed but supportive. I grew up with parents I couldn't confide anything to. I never want my kids to feel they can't come to me.
I liked it. It was cute, but a little heavy on the witty one liners. I don't know if she was going for a kind of parody of an outsiderish highschool girl or what. It was entertaining, but not realistic. I enjoyed the movie but I think it would have been more of an experience if there had been some realistic depth to Juno. From my experience, teens are full of angst, not snappy one liners. Life has never been more intense for me than when I was a teen. Juno came off too glib (OMG Tom Cruise!) and older than her years.
