It was rumoured yesterday that McG is in talks to direct Terminator 4 (read about that here) and today more rumours are circulating that Vin Diesel has been having meetings about taking the role of the titular killer robot, now that Arnie's busy doing political whathaveyous in California.
Now, Diesel has already been announced to appear in The Fast and the Furious 4, so is he planning to do both? T4 and TFATF4 are both planned as pre-strike projects, so he'd have to get both in the bag by the end of June – a big ask for two effects movies that haven't started shooting yet.
All that aside, do you want to see Diesel as the new Terminator? If not, then who? Our vote goes to The Rock.

I don't know...T3 was underrated. I rented it expecting nothing and was pleasantly surprised. And Vin Deisel carrying off a monotone overly buff meathead? Not much of a challenge there...

T3 was a giant dump on the entire series. Ugh. It was unecessary and stupid.. they turned the entire thing into one giant joke.
Go watch the first one and then the third.. there's no comparison whatsoever. One is art, the other stupid trash.

I loved T2, there was no need for anymore to be made, except money!

After the pile of bull that was T3 there's no need for a T4. The fact that they would even consider Vin Diesel is more proof that they should've stopped after T2.

He is gorgeous but that is a bad pic. And I agree about loving T2 and hating T3.

Vin Diesel should NEVER go anywhere near a movie about Hannibal. That would be worse than casting him as the new Terminator.

Oh, Christ, why don't they just stop? The third one wasn't even the red-hot hit everyone was expecting it to be. It didn't even earn its budget domestically. The franchise should just die already - and I'm a Terminator fan.

I'm so sick of sequals and remakes. It just proves that everyone in Hollyweird is on something since they can't even come up with something new and fresh. That and they think this is a good idea along with F&F4.
