Anyone else a fan of the series? What are your thoughts on the movie?
I loved the cartoon. I hate the casting of Charlize Theron as Aeon, she is just so bland as an actress.

I like her as an actress and I think she's beautiful but she doesn't fit the character in the least on every level.

Anyone can dye their hair or wear a wig and I think the people that watched the animation know that she does not have that bite that that particular character needs.

^^ITA. Besides that, the film does not have the same feel as the series. It just looks like another action/superhero kinda movie. Watching the series i never had the feel that Aeon was a hero of any kind. She had her own agenda, it was NOT about saving others, just about perserving some sort of freedom for the future.

It's all wrong. They made a mistake casting her. I predict a flop, and it their own fault for not staying true to the series.

I'm bored already.

^^Ditto. The series had it's own uniqueness about it and the movie is making her seem like a big action thing. Her clothing was more risque and the drawing was way different from norm. If they were gonna give the title another name but were sticking with the series, you'd have no clue that they were making a cartoon into a live action movie. Charlize wouldnt even have come to mind, no resembelence watso ever.

I saw it a few hours..ago I love Theron but I really wasn't impressed with this movie at all..I did like it better than the last harry potter..though..

IMO, there was just 2 much going on..not much of a plot..the acting was really stiff especially from one of the lead men (trevor)..it just seemed to be missing something.. And I understand it takes place in the future...but are we really suppose to believe that by shaking your head around and having a special type of contact that you can see some sort of bacteria?

What did you guys think?

Also..I'd just give it a 7/10. Love theron, but this most seemed to be missing something.
Another thing I loved her clothes, and the hair. She's gorgeous..but this movie wasn't anything special..

I saw the movie and have it. I thought it was good. I never saw the animated series though. Is the animated series really good?

when i was watching the movie at first i didnt understand a thing but charlize was just hot..after i realized the plot i really did enjoy it...

It takes a couple of times to get the plot, but I really liked this movie for some strange reason. It was just too weird not to,
