Opening this Friday, the next collaboration between David and Viggo. 'History of Violence' was cool and this one looks damned intense too!

He looks like a cancer patient in this movie. I totally will see it, but he doesn't look so great.

this looks interesting. i was kind of disappointed by a history of violence. it was good for a run of the mill thriller but there wasn't enough of the cronenberg twisted weirdness.

I have to see it only b/c i love this director with a passion! I still watch A History of Violence over and over and loved eXistence and Viggo Mortenson is a really superb actor along w/ that blonde mousy girl

I agree. I thought it was lame for a Cronenberg film. I think because it was released at a time when virtually everything else was crap, it looked good by comparison. But I don't watch many Hollywood movies so when I saw this, I was quite disappointed. I expected much more from a director of his calibre. But I will see Eastern Promises -- it looks more true to his form.

I was sorry that viggo didn't win the oscar but I also understand he was up againt some stiff competition. I don't think he thought he was going to win either from the statements he said in interviews. I really like him as an actor. I especially like the fact that he seems to be extremely well rounded in his private life. He seems to be a very private person which now adays a refreshing quality.

I too didn't think he looked so hot in this movie when I usally find him to be good looking in most of them. of course imo he was hot in LOTR LOL
