Death Sentence
I saw this movie last night and I was disappointed. It was slow and trite. I expected a lot more from Kevin Bacon I guess. Anyone else see this?

well i wanted to see halloween first so i did and this looked like a really good movie but, i havent heard anything really good about it, but il check it out anyways.

I liked it for about the first hour. After the family was attacked in their home it got a bit unbelieveable. I thought kevin Bacon and Kelly Preston ,both were very good in this movie. Garrett Hedlund was good as the badass. I was disappointed in John Goodman and the lady cop though.Overall ,I liked the movie. I just think it should have been better. You had alot of good actors in this,with some silly dialog.

I liked it too.Alittle unbelievable in parts though,but most of these movies are.

I was shocked when the gang broke into the house and attacked Kevin Bacon,Kelly Preston and their son. The fact that they shot Kelly Preston in the chest and killed her,caught me off guard.Naturally they only wound Kevin,so he could go on his revenge filled romp. I didn't see kelly's death coming. She was a big part of this movie until that point.

Saw this movie and liked it a lot. I can see how it can turn some off, because it is almost like two movies in one, the first part more serious, the other half more conventional revenge drama.
However, it worked well for me. I knew I would like it because the director was also the director of 'Saw' and his influence was felt throughout the movie (even used the same background music from Saw during some critical scenes).
The foot chase sequence in the movie was one of the most intense such moments in movie history, I was outta breath myself. Kevin Bacon gave an incredible performance; if it weren't for the subject matter I think he would/should be given oscar consideration.
Overall, I give this movie the gossip rocks approval!
