I noticed there is no normal Simpsons thread!! For the best show of all time I find that stunning.

Anyway I created this just to say that I managed to watch the special 24 episode last night. I have to say that as a long time Simpsons-picker, it's got to be the most original episode since... 1997. There was not one stupid, roll your eyes moment, and even though I'm not a fan of 24 any more I got the gags. I can't help but wonder if the team behind the movie had a part in the making of this episode, be that the writers from the golden era, the producers, the animation team... All in all it just looked and felt a great deal better. What the show would have been like if it had never jumped the shark.
To me, the best part was Groundskeeper Willie: "Oh, leave me be! I don't want to live if I have to clean up this mess!"

What's going on with this show this season?
Martin, Sideshow Bob, the Van Houtens... all dead?

I haven't seen any of this season yet, but also, Marge having an affair; a flashback episode of Marge & Homer as college freshman in the NINETIES before the kids were born?

It sounds like when Fonzie jumped that thing in that episode of that glad show...

Did anyone catch the doppleganger episode last night? I'm in shock. It could have passed as an episode from 1995. It was a classic. I've waited 11 years for this very moment.
