Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

So who went to see this tonight? We just got back. I loved it but they didn't stray a bit from Harry's own plot line...no other subplots were really explored at all. I have to say everything looked exactly like I had it in my mind after reading the book. Still, I think this movie was made for the book lovers rather than the average movie goer. My husband asked me about 100 questions on the way out the door because he hadn't read it.

I just saw Daniel Radcliffe on Conan, and omg what a delight he is. Such an adorable lad! that accent and fast talking kills me.

We've seen all the movies, but my daughter's the only one who has read all the books. She says the movies are OK but they leave out great chunks of plot from the books. We are seeing OotP on Monday. So far the critics seem to love it, but I hope it's better than the last effort which I found very disappointing.

You love the movie or you hate it . I have yet to meet somebody who thinks it's just "OK" . I watched it at 00.01 am and I loved it

No but our nephews and nieces are making me dress up when I take them to the book premiere party. I think I'm going to go as a witch trying to pass for a muggle.

I almost think you have to read the books to really get it. Harry's story line is the only one covered in the movie. There's so many subplots and background points that are left out. Even so, the movie was still brilliant.

That's the good part of going on opening night - the freaks and geeks in all those costumes... I lurves it!

I want to go to the book premiere party ... I have to stay home all day that Saturday because my book will be delivered on the day of release. Can't wait!

I saw it last night. Haha.

I like it better than the HP5 book. The scene I was nervous* to see isn't that bad. I plan to watch it again.

it was ok for me.i think it had a lot of plot holes so is you did not read the book you will be lost.i would not have cared if they made a 4 hr movie as long as it was made right

alot of stuff was left in the cutting room floor. oh well guess you can't have it all.

dont remember the poster that said the last film was dissapointing, but i LOVED it. i will be seeing OOTP this weekend, and am sad to say that it doesnt look nearly as good as the last....which was the best thus far to me.

I've actually been disappointed in all of the movies so far. Once you've read a few thousand pages of text and eagerly memorize the little details, it's hard to see a movie that simply catches the big picture. Still, this one was my favorite of all the movies...probably because it looked right to me and the tone was dead on.
