A thoughtful and provocative review! Is that a thumbs up?

Re: Pride and Prejudice w/ Colin Firth
I saw the new movie - meh - Keira K is too smug as Lizzie and the Darcy actor (can't even remember his name) smoulders but I don't think he's into dirty sex like Colin's Darcy would be LOL. Donald Sutherland playing Mr Bennett with a Canadian accent grates too. I'd say the BBC production is the definitive version.

Re: Pride and Prejudice w/ Colin Firth
Yeah - Colin/Darcy would be a VERY bad boy I reckon.

Re: Pride and Prejudice w/ Colin Firth
Matthew Macfadyen plays Darcy in the new one. He was superbly hot in Spooks but I've not seen P&P yet. The thought of Keira getting to kiss him makes me cross!

Re: Pride and Prejudice w/ Colin Firth
I like to watch and compare various versions of P&P. I saw that modern day one, it was cute enough, but they didn't quite make the mores and language fit. I haven't seen Bride & Prejudice yet.
I have the BBC Colin Firth P&P set on DVD. Nothing like spending 5 hours straight watching it (or whatever the number of hours is)

Re: Pride and Prejudice w/ Colin Firth
The BBC version is spectacular, but the new one is actually getting some excellent reviews as well. I likely won't go to see it in theatres, but apparently, everyone does a decent job in it, so... meh.

Re: Pride and Prejudice w/ Colin Firth
mmmm. colin.
i watched the colin P&P for the first time last year when i was dying from the flu. *not really dying, but felt like it, ok?* it was the only thing that distracted me from my incessant vomiting. i should probably watch it again sometime when i'm healthy LOL
but even then i could appreciate how HOTT he looked in jodpurs. mmmm.

Re: Pride and Prejudice w/ Colin Firth
yeah that BBC series is perfect on a rainy day or sick day indoors, it makes me forget all my troubles and escape to a world where men like Darcy (the men I fall in love w/ who don't feel the same way back) fall for women like Lizzie (stupid ole' me) and everyone lives happily ever after! (never happens in real life)
