Yawn, another boring CGI snooze fest. Why, thanks to computers there can be even MORE birds of every size, shape, and color overflowing the skies!!!

God I love this movie! The part where the stuffed bird being shoved into the window is classic.

I agree, no remake is nessicary.

Exactly. They'll try to jazz it up & make it more exciting, and in the process they'll make it completely unbelievable. That's what was so great about Hitchcock's version - it was just believable enough to feel like it just *might* happen. I still get a tad unsettled at the sight of a large flock of birds on the ground

I agree with everybody, why must they ruin another classic?

Besides, I don't think the concept would work on a modern film. It was scary as hell when Hitchcock did it, but CGI birds would just be...camp.

There's no way a remake could be as scary and creepy as the orginal. They'll just turn it into a mindless gorefest.

Some movies are not called "classics" and didn't make movie history for no reason. It's completely redundant to make another one. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. Somehow I think today's Hollywood thinks new means "improved". Well, as far as I'm concerned none of the remakes I saw parts of or read about even came close to the originals, not even the movie versions of cheesy TV shows!

I actually kind of liked the Psycho remake... but then again, it had no CGI, no lasers, no nothing. Stayed true to the original. And anyway, I don't I, nor anyone, actually "like liked" it, but rather, just appreciated it as a weird experiment. I remember Van Sant saying when he approached that project, he was either gonna do an exact remake of Psycho or of Fargo. Imagine that! Fargo remade like 3 years after it came out. THAT would've been an experiment and a half. Plus, Fargo's a better movie overall than Psycho anyway. Oh if only.

And of course they'll up the gore quotient. Just like the rest of unimaginative hollyweirdos filmmakers nowadays confuse "scary" with how much blood and guts they can show, in ever more creative and nasty ways for people to be killed and eaten by birds. Not to mention multiple scenes of things jumping out all of a suddent to "scare" you.
