Terry McMillian to face gay husband on Oprah

I am completely riveted by this story for some reason. The author Terry McMillan who wrote 'How Stella Got Her Groove Back' about the relationship w/her soon to be exhusband, who has recently 'come out', is going to confront him on Oprah.
Episode to air on 11/9.

I liked the movie, so I guess that is why I am so fascinated by this. Also, because you really rooted for them to make it....but alas. Should be an interesting show.

As I recall, McMillian was really, really pissed at the husband, too. I've never seen a celebrity show their ass on Oprah, but I'm wondering if this might be the one. I'm tuning in!

I read some of the court documents on Smokinggun.com and she isn't a little pissed, she's a LOT pissed. It's going to be a hell of a show!!!

She wasn't terribly on the ball with this one. I mean, didn't anyone else see the green card in his eyes. And why is she pissed? Would she rather have a gay husband out cruising nightly? And what the hell is Oprah thinking of? Is she now the new Jerry Springer? Are they going to have security on stage in case Terry and her gay ex start clawing at each other? This is messed up from the word go. And, here's another opportunity for Oprah to talk about how she's such great friends with famous/rich/talented black people. BORING.

^^I was also surprised Buttmunch that Oprah would put this on. Doesn't seem like her kind of thing. Maybe ratings are down and she needs to amp it up a tad? Isn't this the chick that only puts on shows to enlighten your life or whatever??

was to be an incest survivor, and every show she
had seemed to be about the abused going on or
calling in or what-have-you. So this sensationalistic
approach is actually more in keeping with her show's roots.

Im very turned off from watching her show as off Monday. All I kept hearing for the upcoming show on Monday was "I will show you my new house". Yeah something that most of the viewers will never own or have the "honor" of stepping into. It just smacked of "mine is bigger and better than yours"

^^Does she really think that people want to see her massive home?? Maybe some people do, but I would bet the majority would rather not. She's just taking herself way to seriously sometimes. I remember when she had the Jerry Springer like shows on in the 80's/90's and then she got so huge (popular not fat haha) and just became this self rightous freakshow. She's just too damn powerful for her own good!!
Still watching the show today though. Otherwise, I'd rather be watching Maury Povich, at least I get some comic relieft from that show.

I saw a commercial for this one...very Jerry Springer. It appeared it be Terry and Oprah vs. gay ex-husband and what ever Oprah thinks the audience backs takes as gospel. They're just hoping for free stuff under their seats.
She is getting desperate these days but there are only so many episodes she can devote to the love of her dogs.

I actually watched her show yesterday and it made me cry. I felt so bad for those kids and the little girl with the birth defect of her legs. That was amazing. Why is it she shows topics one day that make you feel good and then the next its worthless crap?

ok, it's wayyyy to civilized. I was looking forward to chairs flying and people storming off the stage! They're 'friends' now, kind of. She's super super pissed off still, but seems to have come to terms w/the situation. She just doesn't want him to get her money...

Yeah but she really has a problem with domination. I felt some what sorry for him. Yeah he made the mistake of trying to get the prenup overturned or something like that. She (McMillian) is one bitter woman.
