Not quite Greese 2. But sure, kinda cool

I'm using a lot of oxygen and such — I think it's good use of oxygen myself, but of course, I'm a little prejudiced on the matter.

^ i miss it too; i was just quoting some lyrics from the song "Behind the Wall"

"dont touch on my mattress it ain't cool, Simon on the yard straight trippin' on fools"

and nothing compares to the original OZ (1939) don't we all have a bit of Dorothy Gale in us.... "over the rainbow.........."

Return to Oz was awesome! The Wheelies scared the bejeezus out of me for months after I saw it and Faruza Balk as Dorothy- what a sweet and twisted idea!

    Great movie!

I did, too. That was a great show - I wonder why it went out of production. Surely it had an audience.

Wow, that was her??????? WOWZA, I didn't make the connection until now. I watched this movie when I was little. Yea the Wheelies were creepy looking but I liked that about the movie, that it was kinda dark (even though it was a Disney film...it was, right?)

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

it kinda jumped the shark and got bad after the nurse got raped i thought and the warden got murdered; kinda dumb/outrageous plot points but still the best characters ever written for t.v. can be found on that show!

Yeah I think it was Disney, I also liked the creepiness. It had a kind of Goth feel. The nasty electrocution machine Dorothy got hooked up too, her blood red lips and big eyes, the talking hen, the glass cabinet of HEADS!

I'm buying that movie on eBay right now!

I think this is better than the 1939 movie (not that they're to be compared given they aren't sequel/prequels!) because it's truer to the books. I mean as if it the books the Munchkins went: "Tee-hee-hee!" and "La-dee-daa". No, they were weird and the whole story was dark and twisted.
And yeah, it's a Disney film. One of their less proud productions, which is very ironic now.

I have to say, I was scared of it as a kid too, and when I bought it from the US in 2004 I saw it again and was blown a freaking way. Even by today's standards, the FX are good and the picture and sound are excellent... and let's just say the intense scenes in 5.1 make it so much more eerie.
