Stupid Tyra Banks Show

Ugh, I am watching this train wreck. Today is the episode where she goes in disguise as a 350 lb. woman. Does anyone else find her a little overly dramatic and trying too hard to come off as caring?
She sucks, in my opinion.

I missed the first airing of this episode. I'll have to watch it when it re-airs later tonight. I really wanted to see the fat suit episode, because I'm sure she makes an ass of herself.

Anyone else tired of the word "fierce"?

I totally agree about her coming off overly dramatic and fake. I caught a little bit of an episode the other night where she was giving this mother/daughter a car (not sure why, apparently they had suffered hardships.) Tyra was trying to be soooo caring. However, in between looking at the little girl (who was in tears) to tell her what she had for her, she kept turning and looking directly into the camera. She tried to deliver this dramatic, "I care" speech but with her glancing dead-on into the camera and not at the sobbing little girl, it came off super fake!

I agree; I have to admit, she came off as more intelligent than anticipated, but I kept asking myself why/how the hell she is qualified to be giving all this advice to people. Not like Oprah or anyone is more qualified, but Tyra just seems like a bit of a stretch.

It's almost as if she tries too hard to be likeable...

Heard on the radio that Tyra and Naomi Campbell will be airing out their 14 yr feud on Tyra's show. It was already taped so it's coming up soon.
Passing it along in case anyone actually cares, or actually watches.

The Tyra Show is horrible. Every episode that I've got a glimpse at was horrible. They always talk about supermodel stuff. It's retarded.

i hate tyra!! i wish tyra would go away! i loved on her show she was crying to overweight women about how she was treated for the 2 hours she was in a "fat suit" crying and expecting these women to comfort her... wtf? these women go thru these emotions daily and have been harrassed for im sure months if not years on end about their weight and a supermodel wants them to comfort her.. i dont think so. at least after tyras exausting day as an overweight woman she could still take it all off and be a supermodel again with no work involved to get herself back to supermodel weight. the larger women on stage with her should have been like - you know why we have body issues?? because of you tyra now quit bitching and do something about it. what a stupid spoiled supermodel!! sorry for the small rant! i was outraged!

also i watched the e! ths of janice dickenson and i actually like her more than someone- tyra!

the only tyra show i saw was with jennie mc carthy (promoting her film that went nowhere). and i did like tyra's interview style. it was young and fresh, and seemed like a conversation like two girls might have. she's good at coming off real, but she has such overly dramatic tendencies. she acts like her being in a fat suit is as DEADLY SERIOUS as covering the gulf war or something. she looks into the camera with this death stare, like she's describing atrocities seen on a battlefield. jesus, lighten up.

My husband and I were both home today and somehow caught the end of this show. She was airing a 'therapy session' she had. PULEASE! It was ridiculous! All about her parents' divorce and how she wants kids but doesn't see a man in her future, just kids. She was trying to make everything seem so deep and IT WASN'T!!!! The pretaped 'therapy session' (which to me looked like an over the top set up) ended and Tyra looks at the camera and says "Right after this part, I BROKE DOWN. The therapist made me see why I choose such bad men...blah blah blah"

I turn to my husband and say "Why are we supposed to care about this woman?" He says "Who the hell is she?" Exactly.

I've seen this a couple of times over here, not sure what channel it's on. Don't know what to make of it really, It all seems image obsessed. There was the mother and daughter who thought they were fat, the girls who thought they were a lot uglier than they were, the woman who still thought she was still fat when she wasn't any longer and Tyra always says they're look gorgeous and are lovely people inside, thats what matters - Turn over to America's next top model and she's knocking girls' self esteem left, right and center - Which Tyra is real?

I dont mind the show, but I agree that Tyra is very fake and superficial. And I cant stand the close ups of her face when she's talking because she has this irritating way of moving her mouth when she's speaking. Ugh.
