Your favorite romantic film?
what would be your favorite romantic film of all time, regardless of era or genre?
whether it was a drama or rom-com or whatever.
i adore love stories, they're my favorite kinds of movies

Breakfast at Tiffany's is right up there for me, or The Way We Were, but I'm not really into soppy movies. Map of the Human Heart is also excellent.

Oh, I probably have tons. Most recently watched Casa Blanca. I couldn't believe how some of the scenes are so close to reality, and the romance is so much more alive!

For some reason I cannot think of one.....
When Harry Met Sally?? Would that be considered romantic? Not really...
I love Gone With The Wind, not sure that is romantic either....

In no particular order, these movies always touch me: The Way We Were, Ghost, Roman Holiday, Splendor In The Grass, Love Story.

I agree with Breakfast at Tiffany's but... Has anyone here read the book? The ending is quite different, the movie sort of had the Hollywood cliche ending, you know, happy and romantic. It was more or less realistic in the book IMO.

My favorite has always been "The Way We Were". Not your typical love story, but Robert Redford was at his best (and absolutely gorgeous). The plot about two people who had an intense love for one another but were far too different to be together though they wanted to be can't help but leave you in tears.

haha that's a lampshade? i didn't get it until you explained.
forgot to add 'bin-jip' ('3-iron' in english). great korean film. there's almost no dialogue between the two lead actors and yet it's one of the most sensual, touching love stories i've ever seen.
