I have no investment in any of these whatsoever because I haven't heard of any of these movies! It's like, all the noms are for movies that haven't even been released nationwide.

I’ve only seen one out of all the best picture noms and I’m kinda surprised it’s even there.

    Gary Oldman, “Darkest Hour”
Give this man an Oscar already. It's amazing to me that he's never won one.

Get Out was fantastic. You should all see it. So much better than I expect, 99% on rotten tomatoes. I haven't seen the other movies...I have kids....I usually see lame movies, eg Lego Ninjago or Jumanji.

Wait a minute, Get Out is nominated for best picture? That's the only movie in that category I've seen. I liked it, but I'm surprised it's nominated.

Get Out was very enjoyable. I've loved Daniel Kaluuya since Sicario and he put on a really good performance. So, did Allison Williams. I'm really happy for Jordan Peele - I did not know he was capable of stepping up like this, since I usually think of him as a second banana in the Key and Peele comedy duo.

Also very happy to hear that Shape of Water got so many nominations. Mrs Mo and our daughter raved about this. Mrs Mo keeps asking me when she and I are going to see it together. Hopefully, this weekend.

Get Out was an amazing movie and I'm glad it is getting some love as it is not a so called normal Oscar picture. I'd like the Oscars to do a total revamp anyway and add some categories so that movies that are really good but not artsy could win something.
