And Bryan Cranston shall snake Leo's Oscar. So it is written, so it shall be.

'Straight Outta Compton' Shut Out of Oscars Except for 2 White People

    3.1k

1/14/2016 6:05 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

In a stunning move, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences turned thumbs down to "Straight Outta Compton" -- the only nom it got were the screenwriters -- a white guy and a white woman.
It's amazing ... not only did the movie get overlooked for best pic, only 8 movies were nominated and there could have been 10, but clearly they didn't think the biopic passed muster.
The Academy was under a microscope for this one ... a lot of people thought this would clearly show if they were bias against black movies.
Others have beef ... 'Stars Wars' didn't get nominated for best pic, nor did J.J. Abrams for best director.

That's another one. Fucking great movie. The kids that played Dre and Eazy should be nominated. It should be nominated for Best Picture as well.

Mad Max nominated for Best Picture? Is it any good? I saw the first ones with Mel Gibson and didn't think they were Oscar worthy, and not sure how that could have changed.

I hope Leo wins. He deserves it! And God, please do NOT let Jennifer Lawrence win Best Actress. I'm tired of her already.

This one is incredibly well done. It is among the best movies I've seen this year. I never saw the earlier Mad Max movies, but this one was treated as a film and is actually artistically done at times. I don't think it has a real chance at winning against some of the others nominated, but I think it has a place as a nominee.

I thought mad max was terrible. And I am really beyond pissed off that Will Smith was not nominated. I thought Hollywood was so about diversity? Nothing I see shows that.

They made a movie out of the Room? That book broke my heart. I don't think I could take it.

They have those self-congratulatory moments like Hattie McDaniel, Sidney Poitier and Halle Berry getting history-making Oscars, but for the most part, they could give a shit about how often and how positive the images of people of color are onscreen.

I haven't even gone to see new movies since they snubbed Forest Whitaker and Idris Elba. Fuck the Academy - they can lick the crust out of my crusty black ass.

It's infuriating that this still goes on in this day and age.
