The SpongeBob movie with my nephew. He loved it of course but the first one was better.

Jupiter Ascending.. Visually it was great, Eddie was Awesome as usual, film left me feeling underwhelmed.. when I hear Mila all I can think is (shut up) Meg, and there was zero chemistry between her and Channing imo.

I saw Jupiter Ascending last night. It was visually awesome. The story is straight from the Syfy channel but it kept my interest.

Still on a John Waters kick so I watched Female Trouble again. I miss Divine and think he would have had a great career to this day.

Adam's Rib with Tracy and Hepburn. This film has aged well...They didn't degrade Hepburn like they did in Woman of the Year or The Philadelphia Story.

The Book Thief: Kind of slow moving, kind of diffuse, like it didn't know whether to be a Holocaust movie, a coming-of-age movie or a film about death, but the ending made me weepy. Emily Watson is magnificent as always...

The SpongeBob movie. It was kind of a mess. The first movie was kind of a quest and had a coherent plot. This one was all over the place. I have to give credit to Antonio Banderas, though. Nice comic performance by him.

Love is All You Need. This was on cable last night. I really liked it. Set in Italy. Everyone in the movie was Danish, except Pierce Brosnan. The movie was in English, too, for the most part. Ida (played by Trine Dyrholm) is a woman who is traveling to Italy to attend the wedding of her daughter. She is not only just getting over chemotherapy for cancer (and has lost her hair), but her husband has just left her for someone younger. She meets up with Pierce Brosnan, who is the father of the groom. He is apparently kind of a wealthy guy who owns citrus groves and processing facilities, including in Italy. He is a widower and is angry at the world at losing his wife.

Basically, the film is about these two falling in love. I don't think it was formulaic, though, because of some of the twists and turns and pretty wild sub plots in the movie. I can't say enough about Dyrholm's performance - she has all of the elements needed for the character. Very, very nice.
