Shoot. It's almost over here. Maybe they'll run it again later. It looks good.
Public Television. Check your local listings. It looks like a well done documentary.

It was excellent. Very creative in the way they did it. They showed photos and discussed all the famous photographers that she worked with. I wish I taped it.
I watched it and it was great. They showed some fabulous photos that I had never seen before.
thnx Chalet for posting this!
It was a very interesting take on her life. I enjoyed hearing the photographers opinions and experiences with her. Very well done.
i love love loooooooooove the Richard Avedon sessions! not a huge fan of Milton Greene though, i guess they're too played out for me.
Was he the one who photo'd her nude from above and she seductively told him to come down?Originally Posted by AliceInWonderland

^ no that was a guy who's last name was Kirkland i believe, Richard Avedon did pics of her in fabulous gowns w/ tiger rugs and wind blowing and her looking awesome and i loved eve arnold as well, but yeah i saw the show and it was damn good and sooooo informative w/ pics not even I've seen before and i'm an avid fan, like the one of her pregnant; that was heartbreaking, and i hope they sell this on dvd cause i'll have to buy it 4 sure

they're way better in color though; you should search on the net for them cause they're beautiful!
Thanks Alice.
Do you collect Marilyn memorabilia? I did for years but now I only collect the marilynmerllot.com wines.
I have 2 36" by 48" paintings of her just rotting in my garage. 1 was very expensive. I was so overwhelmed by my collection (my own purchases and gifts) I stopped plus it no longer goes with my now French Provincial decor. Most of my posters were ruined during moves and sitting in the garage over time.
I still love Marilyn though![]()
I've always loved these by Cecil Beaton. Her range of emotions, the dress, the pose, all say Marilyn to me.
They still make that wallpaper. When I found it, I got to put it in a client's dressing room.

I know it's been said before but she'd be considered FAT these days. How sick is that?
That's cool about the wallpaper, I had no idea.
wow those are cool ^ and thats cool you have a collection Luna; i don't have the funds for any kind of collectionbut i do have all the great books on her and some other old movie stars; i love biographies and history so... I bought the Playboy issue of her on the cover this last spring that i got from the Queen Mary Exhibit, but it was full of false lies and garbage told by ppl who claimed to have known her and some old man who said he listened to her therepy session tapes and wrote it down word for word; yeah right! I hate all the liars out there who claimed to have known her so well; even Strasberg's daughter (who died recently) was a total phoney imo, so watevers, i bought it for the full frontal nude photo of her inside that they showed for the first time on this PBS show. It was lovely

So many conflicting stories about Marilyn from all those people who were close to her. I never know what to read about her.
I'm interested in knowing how long her affairs with JFK and Yves Montand were. Does anyone know?
^ Avatar Love! yes its hard though to believe what you read 'bout ppl even when its from their mouth!
