Default Orange is the New Black

I'm enjoying this Netflix original series-anyone else?

It's good to see Natasha Lyonne working again. Her hard lifestyle sure aged her though! She was pretty messed up.

Do you have a link to it? What's it about?

i've seen all but the last 2 episodes over the last week. it's silly but entertaining. i was very shocked by the level of nudity and um..."interactions" that they show. i'm only used to network shows since i don't have hbo, showtime, etc. i would absolutely die if i accidentally stumbled upon it with my parents or something.

    i LOVE crazy eyes!

It's only on Netflix Instant. It's a dramedy about a WASP-y woman who's sketchy past catches up with her and she goes to prison. It's very well written!

I just started watching last night, and after the first episode I kind of hate the main character, but love all the supporting cast. Like...enough to keep watching the show, even though I hate the main girl.

Probably going to continue watching tonight while I crochet.

I haven't watched the show, but I can vouch that the memoir it's based on is worth reading.

I'm watching this now and like it a lot. The main character is meant to be irritating, coming from an obnoxious generation of MEMEME. Those flashback conversations with her bestie and fiance are so shallow and irritating it can't be an accident.

The author of the book this is based on, Piper Kerman, allows her old self to be an awful person in this series because that's how she feels in retrospect, I think. I'm very impressed with the advocacy Piper has done, post prison, for the treatment of women behind bars and when they get out.

I love this show. It's funny and has many deeper moments. I love that it's a cast of diverse women, in age and race. The main character is the epitome of privileged yuppie, but she acknowledges that and seems to be growing up and accepting responsibility for her mistakes (I'm on ep 6). I am more interested in the supporting characters, though. Sophia the transsexual is breaking my heart.

If you have Netflix, definitely give this show a try. The first ep is so so, but it really picks up from episode 2 forward.

I just started watching this last night. I watched the first two episodes. Pretty good show. Netflix is doing pretty good. House of Cards is excellent.

I've watched the first 3 episodes, I get why people like it but if I hadn't invested so much time in it already, I would have not continued watching.

Well I've still got Suits to catch up on but I think I might just wait for the whole half season to air before watching and do a binge watch. I do love Taylor Schilling though so let's see how it goes.

I really want to watch House of Cards.
