    Default The Devil Wears Prada

I went and saw it last night and was pleasantly surprised. I'd finished the book earlier in the week, so some of the big plot changes (and there are quite a few) really stuck out, but Meryl Streep is divine. Love. Her. Anne Hathaway was good and the actress playing Emily is perfect. Simon Baker was supposed to be sexy and suave, but his eyebrows were distracting.

Like I said, there are some fairly big plot changes, but I think I actually liked the movie better than the book and I can't remember when that's ever happened to me.

I would see this for Streep alone! Good to know it was worth seeing.

I agree that Streep is so awesome for this roll. She rocked it and rocked it hard. It's been so long since an actress just blew me away. She really is Gods gift to movies.

Watching Streep be a dry, sarcastic, elitist C-bomb was the most fun I've had in a long time with a film! I couldn't get enough!

Anne was really cute and did a good job. I loved the guy Nigel. He was a big assett to the film.

The simon guy was Smarmy and did not do it for me.

I loved watching all the catty fashion world stuff. The glamour, the backbiting and whatnot. And the outfits were a show in themselves.

The script was rather thin and a few plot flaws, but overall really fun to watch and I would highly recommend it.

I want to see it, too. I like both Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway...and all the catty fashion world stuff, too!

I forgot to mention Stanley Tucci as Nigel! He really was perfect for the role.

Ditto. Adrian Grenier looked hot, so I don't understand why they had Simon Baker as his competition. Maybe he just didn't look good in this role, but I wasn't impressed.

I read the book ages ago and was pleased by the movie. Until, right after they get to Paris a RAT ran across the theater! This was at Union Station in DC. I was outraged and upset but the theater staff thought it was funny. Ghetto town. Anyway-if someone would please tell me how the movie ended since there were significant changes, I would appreciate it. A PM would be fine so as not to spoil it for everyone else!

I really liked the movie but I was disappointed in some of the main changes from the book. But somehow it still turned out to be really good, and I kind of like both endings.

I think I liked it so much because of Meryl and Anne ... they really made the movie.
