Favorite 80's show
Ok, with the passing Aaron Spelling, it got me thinking about older shows and how campy they were and truly just hilarious, whether they were sitcoms or something like the 'A Team'.
My absolute FAVORITE 80's show is, and don't laugh, 'Simon & Simon'!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that show. And just got a new channel added to my satelitte system that shows reruns of it everyday. I almost cried. Was/is in love w/AJ Simon. Sigh...
But I also likes Magnum PI, Dallas, Cheers, Dynasty, Love Boat (when I was really young) and Fantasy Island, etc.
Anyone else have fond memories of some campy 80's shows??
It's really fun to watch Simon & Simon now too. It's just a tad over the top but not completely....AJ.....AJ Simon....

Re: Favorite 80's show
Dallas! I used to watch it with my parents, which was a tad uncomfortable at times. I think it still airs on SoapNet. Great show.
I was also a fan of the Hoff back in the day. Knight Rider kicked ass.
And in the embarrassing category, I was a big fan of The Dukes of Hazzard.

Re: Favorite 80's show
I watched Family Ties, Facts of Life, ALF, Mork & Mindy, Night Court. I loved sitcoms but my favorite had to be Knot's Landing.
Saturday morning cartoons, gotta go with Captain CaveMAAAAANNN! Having 24 hour cartoon availability takes away from the experience.
Damn, almost forgot MacGyver and his abiltiy to make anything out of toilet paper and duct tape.

Re: Favorite 80's show
My favorites were nbc family sitcoms like Family Ties, Different Strokes, Facts of Life and Silver Spoons (insane crush on Rick Schroder!). I stayed up every Saturday to watch The Love Boat and Fantasy Island. And an obscure sci-fi show on cbs called Otherworld which lasted only 8 episodes. And can't forget about the series "V" which was based on the mini-series (aliens gulping down birds, and feasting on humans, yum!).

OMG, was that the show where they'd rip their faces off and be green underneath?! I remember seeing that shit and having nightmares forever about it.
I used to watch the infamous ABC afterschool specials. I remember bits and pieces of some of them - like one where some kid was in his room and for some reason it turned red like he was in hell or something. Maybe it was just our craptastic 1980s tv, though.
