Default Hell's Kitchen 2

Gordon is such a different person on Ramsays Kitchen Nighmares!

"Sweaty Guy" was GROSS!!! It said he was a former stockbroker. I wouldn't hire him for that either! A sweating stockbroker would make me nervous.

And a shrimp chocolate dish? I've heard of chocolate being used for savory dishes but I wouldn't put it with seafood!

I predict Heather will win. She was pretty sharp keeping it together after burning herself.

Wouldn't it be cool if the Irish Guy from Top Chef got on this show??

BTW I think Top Chef had the more qualified contestants to run a multi million dollar Vegas restaurant.

^ I absolutely agree with Top Chef's contestants being more qualified. I didn't really like any of these contestants, last season a few stood out for me from the very beginning (including Michael, but that was because I thought he was HOT).

I forget, did they say if it was sweet chocolate with the shrimp? I've seen "chocolate" used as a flavor enhancer and it was just the cocoa bean, which doesn't resemble anything like the chocolate we are used to. I'd eat it if it wasn't the sweet version, cocoa adds a very rich flavor when used correctly.

I thought it was chocolate covered chicken? Damn, now I'm really grossed out then!

The man pulls no punches. I like it, I like it.

And I don't know what possesses the "patrons" to come to the counter to complain ... they know he's gonna shred them to pieces! I'm sorry, but 5 seconds of fame ain't worth that type of humiliation.

I might go up and try to dish it back to him

Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares is better because Gordon always takes his shirt off.

Maybe the chocolate sauce was mole??? That might not be too bad...

I watched the premiere on Fox the other night.

Yes, I actually watched Fox and I am admitting to it on a public forum ... let's move on now, shall we.

I have never watched anything having to do with Gordon Ramsay before. This is mostly due to an article I read where he bragged about secretly feeding meat to vegetarians in his restaurant, telling them after the fact, and then laughing at them. He may not agree with vegetarianism, but to treat his customers in such a fashion is just horrible. I don't know how anyone can respect this guy. He's a complete loser in my book.

That said .... after hearing about how mean he is supposed to be on these shows, I was surprised that he didn't come off nearly as bad as I expected. Sure, he yells a lot, but many chefs in busy kitchens yell and swear and get in your face. I have first-hand experience of this ... ... you have to have thick skin if you want to make it in the restaurant business.

My daughter has already picked who's going to win.

Gordon Ramsey is such a twat. If he ever treated me the way he treats some of these people, I'd bloody well make sure he never sauteéd another thing.

I have a difficult time believing this story. Have you any idea how much legal trouble he could get into doing this? You don't think ONE of those vegetarians would sue him over that?

Whether or not that story is true, he's an ass and I await his demise.

I watch "Hell's Kitchen" and I love it. I love Gordon Ramsay, too .

I don't know, I could be wrong BUT I honestly think his freaking out like that is scripted. I think alot of t.v reality shows are.

..and even if I am wrong, I think anyone that is on that show, knows a huge part of that show is "chef" yelling, swearing and throwing things. Hell, I worked in a kitchen in my younger years with a woman chef who would put Ramsay to shame. I stayed there for years and I didn't get a restaurant out of it. I do, however have the ability to totally be unaffected by anyone who freaks out

Heather was my random pick during the opening credits. Tom was #2. Based solely on their photos, I picked those two. After watching the first 2 hrs, I stand by my Heather pick. After all, I'm 20% psychic.

Which is exactly why you're not on the show! Now, if I were on the show, and he got in my face, I'd take it and say "Yes, chef!" Whenever I address him, I'd end it with "chef." It's like Hell's Kitchen is boot camp, and Gordo's the sargeant. The literal in-your-face attitude is all part of The Game, and you gotta play it if you want to win.
