    Default Chicago Fire

Did anyone watch Chicago Fire? Jesse Spencer (Chase from "House") is in the show. His Chicago accent is horrible. He is nice eye candy, but he cannot nail an American accent like Hugh Laurie can.

It's an okay show. I'll keep watching since they film locally in Chicago and the suburbs, and keep alot of Chicago's film office working. I'm curious to hear what anyone else thinks, if anyone else watched it. Dick Wolf is the Executive Producer, he does Law & Order, so I have kind of high hopes for it.

I watched it when it re-aired on Saturday. Super show! Yeah, I noticed his accent slipping a bit too.

Am I the only one watching this regularly? It's cheesy as hell but I got hooked on it when I was sick and saw the first few episodes of it on demand. I love Jesse Spencer and Lady Ga Ga's boyfriend is nice to look at too.

Does anyone recall the old series "Emergency"? It was based in a California fire station that had a specialized rescue squad (Squad 51 - yes I remember). MY husband and I watched one episode of Chicago Fire and immediately started quoting lines from Emergency. "initiate 10 cc's of ringers lactate and transport immediately", "squad 51 - kmg365" , "Rampart - this is Squad 51"

Both shows follow the same formula - the serious story line, the hilarious rescue, the lovable/funny screw ups at the station. It's not that Chicago fire is a horrible show I guess I have just seen it all by now. Nothing new.

Lady Gaga's man Taylor Kinney is a good-looking fella, but his acting.....not so good.

This just for picked up for Season 2, and there's rumors of a spin-off series based on the Chicago PD. I'm excited, they've brought a lot if jobs to Chicago, I worked as an extra for the show. They film all over the city and everyone is really nice.

I like this show, but never get to watch it consistantly. I have watched 5 or 6 shows I think. I hope to catch up with some reruns or maybe Netflix will carry the first season once it ends. Glad it was picked up for year 2!
