    Default The Duggars

REmember the family that had 16 kids, well they have 2 new specials coming on the Discovery Health Channel. One is on 6/14 called "Raising 16 kids" and the other is on 6/11 called "On the Road with 16 Kids". I must say that I am totally obsessed with this family that I even put them on my tivo wishlist. After watching their 1st special when they had 15 kids I actually started to think that they are just a normal family instead of the religious nut jobs that I thought.

Really old news Teford. I'm somewhat obsessed with them too. Both specials have already aired a couple of times now but still worth a second look-see. The newest one was "On The Road" and it aired in May for the first time.

I'm semi obsessed with them too. I HATE them, yet, cannot look away.

I just cannot wrap my brain around the logic of the parents. I really cannot.

It's like watching a vile trainwreck wrapped in unicorns and rainbows. I'm just waiting for one of the kids to come out with a nasty tellall book as an adult. Did you see the special where they completed the house for the Duggars?

^^I would laugh my ass off if one of those kids turned out to be a Gay Pornographer or something.

I did see the special when they had to have like 75 people help them finish the house. And then freaking FURNISHED it for them. I sat there in complete disbelief and seethed....they are being rewarded for having WAY TOO MANY children!! WHY WHYWHYWHY and then of course had to question myself for actually watching it and adding to the hoopla. I then punched myself in the face...though not as hard as I want to slap JimBob and Michelle.

I was just happen that they seemed to give them a pretty cheap grade of things, like that piano. Piece of junk that will have a split sound board within ten years. Yeah, I seethed too, who else has ever been financially rewarded for using their vagina as a clown car?

Hmm.. The commercial said all new Duggar special for baby week so I assumed that it was a first run show. Oh well, it'll be the first time that I see it. I wish they would show a special where the kids are dating. I just want to see what a typical date is like for the older kids.

Don't worry about it. What Discovery does is edit and reedit the Duggar film and just repackage it every months as "new" but that does make me wonder if they finally edited in the footage at Disneyland that was missing last time.

I would think that there is no dating only courtship with an eye towards marriage. Scarily enough I know a family just about like the Duggars in every way, the wife even has the same hairstyle and creepy little girl voice.

OMG that hair!!! And your right, her voice is almost as bad.

I'd actually watch the 'Extreme Makeover' on that freakshow Michelle. But I'm sure that's not in 'gods plan' so won't happen.

^^^Did you see the first special "14 children and pregnant again"? They were friends with that other family that had 8 kids and I thought that the older son was staring at the friends daughter romantically. They also went on a trip to see other home school kids and there were like 3000 kids that were just like them. They even dressed the same. What really confuses me is that it seems like the men go shopping at the Gap but, the females had crappy homemade clothes. They even showed pics of the mom when she was like 15 and she had on makeup and was posing provocatively (for a teenager that is). I wonder why she changed?

Thanks for giving me the heads up UndercoverGator. So Discovery Channel tricked me. Do you think they'll make this into a series? i really hope so

I don't know if it will ever be a series but if it was I'd watch each and every showing of it. The threads dedicated to the show at TwoP are a hoot and there's a seperate board for it that some of us from TwoP set up after we got spanked by the TwoP moderator for going too far in our Duggar mocking.

I admit I'm facinated to see what happens to the kids once they go out into the real world. Daddy Duggar is making another run for political office so all these specials are the best free publicity for the campaign.

^^WHat's the web address for the board?
I know that he was a politician for a while but, I just assumed that he decided to give it up. What office is he running for I wonder

The board for all the Duggar related discussions is - http://p104.ezboard.com/bfreejinger and it's populated by all of us that got run off the original TwoP discussion board for talking about the most ridiculous Duggar related things, like naming the kids things like Jerbildiah.

The Duggars have their own website too. - http://www.jimbob.info/ and http://www.duggarfamily.com/

I just saw the "On The Road With 16 Kids" and it was mostly new footage. I'm surprised because they usually just repackage the old stuff and throw in a few minutes of new footage. Still trying to imagine what that RV would smell like after a month holding all those kids, that cooking, dirty laundry, funky diapers and assorted bodily funk. Laughed my ass off at Duggar puking going on during the airplane ride over the Grand Canyon. I got my Duggar fix for a few more weeks.

^^I kept noticing that the dad was groping the mom at times. I can now see how they have 16 kids. i wonder why that family with 14 kids don't get a lot of attention. THey basically got that whole entire trip for free and Disney just loved getting the free publicity. My mom has also become obsessed with the Duggars. They first thing she said when she heard of them was, I wonder if we would have been as fascinated with them if they weren't white, middle class, conservative, christians. If they were a black family would they be congratulated for raising 16 kids or would people be saying, why can't this mother go on birth control.
OK enough of my ranting. I can't wait for 6/14 when their other special airs. The show seemed so condensed. They were on the road for 1 month and they didn't really show alot. I would of liked to see what life was like in the RV. They shold have hooked up a hidden cam or something. I would also like to know what the trip was like going back
