Canada's Next Top Model
Has anybody seen this? I'm sorta watching it right now. Too many of the girls are waaaay too old by modelling industry standards to be top models.
Instant turn off -- most of them say they don't have close female friends and don't like other women.

Re: Canada's Next Top Model
Tricia Helfer.
Pretty bland show. They sent the one with the worst attitude home first -- not at ALL like the U.S. version.

Re: Canada's Next Top Model
I kind of want to download it, if for no other reason than Tricia Helfer (I love her in Battlestar Galactica).

Re: Canada's Next Top Model
She's from a small town near where I was born -- maybe that's why I watched the show. It's not that good, tho.

SVZ, I like your new avatar, but I kind of miss your old avatar with that cute guy in it.

Re: Canada's Next Top Model
I watched it and wow, I didn't know it was possible to be both as annoyed and bored at the same time.
Not even Tricia is enough of a reason for me to sit through a second episode of this.

Re: Canada's Next Top Model
I only caught a glimps of the show but I thought most of the girls are umm ugly. We sure have better looking girls than that in Canada!

Re: Canada's Next Top Model
I watched it on Youtube, and I don't think they should have sent the chick witht the bad attitude home. She had the best picture in the photo shoot. Yeah, compared to the US version, it's kind of low-rent, though.

Re: Canada's Next Top Model
Cashier from Whitby, Ont., crowned Canada's Next Top Model; wins contract
19/07/2006 10:07:00 PM
TORONTO (CP) - Canada's Next Top Model is Andrea Muizelaar, a 19-year-old, red-headed cashier from Whitby, Ont.
Muizelaar beat out nine contestants to be crowned the winner Wednesday night in the first Canadian TV spinoff of America's Next Top Model. As part of her win, she gets a modelling contract from Sutherland Models, a $100,000 beauty contract from Procter & Gamble and an editorial spread in Fashion Magazine.
Muizelaar, described by the judges as a Carol Burnett lookalike who was perfect for couture, was one of three finalists in the Citytv show. The others were Alanna, a 19-year-old waitress from Kelowna, B.C., and Sisi, a 23-year-old student from Richmond, B.C.
Sisi was the first of the three to go in the episode that saw the women filming a CoverGirl commercial.
Muizelaar won in the final minutes after competing against Alanna in a real runway show.
Canada's Next Top Model, hosted by model-turned-actor Tricia Helfer, was based on the U.S. version created and co-produced by supermodel Tyra Banks.
Contestants lived together in a waterfront house on Vancouver Island and had to go through a number of challenges, including photo shoots and "go-sees" with designers and magazine editors.
In each episode, one model was voted off by a panel of judges including Helfer, FT-FashionTelevision host Jeanne Beker, celebrity hair and make-up stylist Paul Venoit and Toronto model Stacey McKenzie.
Jay Manuel, the sharp-tongued makeup artist and photoshoot director from America's Next Top Model, acted as a special guest star, as did Canadian photographer Andrew MacNaughtan.
Muizelaar already has appearances lined up under her new title. She's scheduled to stop at Sears in the Toronto Eaton Centre on Friday and at St. Vital Centre in Winnipeg on Saturday.
