    Default Lifetime movies

    Ok, time to fess up...

Who here besides me hates/loves those tear jerking/abusin' man movies on Lifetime networks? Have you ever found yourself powerless to change the channel after having stumbled upon Meredith Baxter-Birney/Courtney Thorne-Smith/Brooke Shields getting the crap beat out of them on some stupid Lifetime movie? What is it about these crappy movies that they have the power to suck you in and make you ignore everything else and watch?

Hmmm no.. but I find myself watching CTS.. the Christian Television Station.. I get sucked into watching 7th Heaven and other idiotic shows that deal with extreme life problems in the most black and white manner.

It's just so horrifying to see people actually think like that.

    I loved
    "Tempted"
    "Stolen Women, Capture Hearts"
    "Fatal Deisire"
    "Speak"

The thing that annoys the shit outta about this channel is that you already know the plot with their movies.

Yes, I am a LMN addict. But dammit, sometimes the movies are really good! Like one where a woman works at a blind school, she loses her own sight, then loses her husband shortly after to cancer. I shed many tears for that one..based on a true story, no less!

We all need a little fluff.

Absolutely! You're either going to see a teen having sex (and of course getting an STD or pregnant), or women getting beaten up/raped. If you're REALLY lucky you'll find one with a pregnant teen who is also abused!

We watched these movies every single day my freshman year of college.

ETA: Oops, forgot the cancer ones, sorry.

Exactly, I guess I can only get into them when im extremely bored. This woman found out her husbands cheating on her, she's been abused, she's finally gonna date after divorce, one of her kids must be on drugs if they get their ears pierced, blabhahbahhblalblallllaahhhh

Yea, another thing is their arent any lead minorities. If their is a black person, they're only friends of the lead character.

I love it too!!!!! It's also quite amazing how much success the 90210 girls have found on there too! You're guaranteed to see a Tori Spelling/Shannon Doherty/Tiffani-Amber Theissan movie on there at least once a week!

My husband and I call Lifetime the Women In Pain Network. I never, ever watch Lifetime movies. Too much of that stuff and I'll be afraid to leave the house.
