Whether or not you like/dislike their lifestyle, I thought the eldest son did a great job narrating the special on the building and moving into the new house.

I agree Moongirl he was good and was funny in his 17 yr old way. Didnt he end up with a "media" type room in the new house? I was confused as to why they had two kitchens. But thank god they got more bathrooms. HEHE

on their website the husband has a little blurb about Michelle being on the pill and getting pregnant. So, what's that all about?
Did they used to use birth control before they got all fundie?

Yes and because Michelle had a miscarriage they came to the conclusion that God wanted them to have as many kids as she could before her uterus dropped onto her shoes or exploded. The thing that disturbs me about all of this is that she stops breastfeeding at 5 months just so she can be fertile again very quickly. I have often wondered what type of long time damage she's done to herself by having baby after baby without a break.

I watched this last night too, great show. They HAVE to be religious freaks, they all have that nutty look in their eyes. Are they home schooled too? The kids seem like good kids but sort of socially retarded. How do they get along with other children their own age? If the parents needed to pimp out their family for free stuff and to finish the house, how can they afford to care for all these kids and pay for college? Looks like the older kids are raising the family which I don't like. If the parents CHOOSE to have so many kids they should be doing all the work to care for them and need to get better jobs rather than looking for handouts. Overall I thought this family was likable but very very ODD.

Last night it was on one of the other Discovery channels instead of TLC, but fear not, TLC will be repeating it till you're sick to death of fundies in floral potato sacks cooking tater tot casserole. Last night's show was a clip show from the first couple of shows, nothing too exciting.

I remember checking out the website before. It sounds like the kids are too busy to have time to get into trouble. I'll have to set the pvr for this one.

I'm thinking, when I worked in a construction office, we'd probably have been better off to hire 8 year olds to do the work instead of our supposed OSHA approved guys.

Ok, I had to add this. I went back and looked at some of their tips. They're actually not that bad. I like the idea of the family closet, it makes alot more sense than me standing in the basement with piles all over the floor and then dragging it upstairs to pile it on the beds, only to see it pushed to the floor and put back in the dirty clothes before it's even worn or used.

Plus, I'm such a hillbilly, I've either had some of their recipes or I'm willing to try them!

Adding more, I am sensing a bit of an addiction forming here. This is one of their links: http://www.drdino.com/

I am getting sucked in faster than water down a clean drain. Keep in mind, if I had nothing to do ever, I would park myself in front of the tv with the Discovery Channel and all it's sister channels.

Another link is this one: http://www.whitsend.org/

This is the maker of the cds we got from Chick-fil-a in the kid's meals!
