    Cool Pan Am

OK, what did everybody who watched it think? I was actually more impressed that I expected to be. Has the potential to be an intelligent drama. If anything, the guy who plays the pilot (Mike Vogel) is HOT and I'll watch it to just to look at him!

I watched it, but missed the first 10 minutes. It was okay. I will try another show or so to see if I continue watching it.

It was ok. If I missed an episode, I wouldn't cry about it.

I enjoyed it. I remember back when being a flight attendant was glamorous.

I didn't know that they had to know two languages. I do remember hearing as a kid, that there was a weight requirement to maintain.

I listened to an NPR segment last week on the ladies of Pan Am and they touched on some of the requirements, including the two languages. They also asked the lady if she knew anything stewardesses being spies and she said, "I don't think I'm going to comment on that", hah

It's a really fascinating culture. I thought the show was ok but I was only half paying attention and thus was kind of confused with the story lines. I'll rewatch it and actually pay attention and then decide.

I really liked it. It seems to always be a bit of a shit shoot to get a series premiere done really well, loads of characters and stories and a novelty thing going on here with the time of the show.

But anyhoo I will definitely give it another try. My ma has been buying Seventeen magazines from her youth (60s/early 70s) and there seems to always be a story on the super glamorous world of being a flight attendant that always made me roll my eyes and yet keep on reading.

Only thing I thought was that chick who turned out to be a spy seems like an airhead. Christina Ricci would have been the better choice.

^ I feel like that's why she was picked. So unsuspecting as a spy because she does seem ditzy.

Just watching the show made me think I'd like to switch careers and become one...Then I realized this isn't the 60's and it would be a crap job dealing with assholes all day.

I liked the show and will be putting it on my DVR list.

I was thinking that too, and then realized, it would just be a glorified customer service job 30,000 feet in the air. Flying now is no more glamourous than riding the city bus.

I didn't think it was horrible, it just didn't hold my interest.

I agree. I found myself getting bored. I was disappointed because I had hoped it would be so much better.

Its alright but for some reason I keep thinking its trying to be the next Mad Men. I saw most of the first episode and missed the second. Im in no hurry to see it again.

that was the reason i wanted to like it, because it was trying to be like Mad Men. I watched it last night, and hated it more than the first one. I'm done.
