Talking Trailer for slasher short film friends and I made at the cottage...

So yeah, we made a lil movie in between swimming and goofing off.. just a lil something for fun, and we whipped up a teaser trailer for it. We used to film stuff all the time as kids, so it was a great way to get back to our roots, reminisce and bring back good memories.

.. and yes, the name does have bearing on the content of the movie lol

That's so awesome! My son is 10 and he is trying to make his own movies. He's using stop motion filming and linking the frames together for the trailer. It's a pirate movie I'll have to show him your trailer!

Very clever - it has all the elements of a high-end slasher-movie trailer.

Is that you at the 1:03 mark? Almost the spitting image of a coworker of mine.

travelbug: Good on your son! It's a great way for kids to spend their time, gets the creative juices going and can even lead to a career later. I say encourage it!

Mohandas: Yeah, that's big ol baldy me. I tend to look like a lot of people, I'm always mistaken for others.

That's you? Did you lose some weight? I remembered you looking a little beefier.

And that trailer actually gave me the creeps in broad daylight. Good job.

I dropped about 2 or 3 pant sizes, been going to the gym since the beginning of the year.

.. and yay, you got creeped out. My buddy did a great job with the music/sound.

Yeah, he did. And wherever you filmed that is stunning. Someone's got an awesome place.

It was this great cottage that had been assembled from a 300 year old granary. It was totally secluded and very murdery.

Greys: Actually, we used a digital SLR that also had video capability and great low light sensitivity. Srsly. All the night stuff we shot was done with a couple of fluorescent bulbs at the end of extension cords, total guerrilla filmmaking.

We're moving on to finishing the actual movie, so will probably be ready in a month or 2

Good luck with your movie! I love horror films. I keep saying I should make one or least start up my own horror blog. Maybe one day.
