Default Chris Brown performs on DWTS tonight, people are upset with the show

'DWTS' pro joins anti-Chris Brown chorus - Entertainment - Reality TV -

Safe to say, we've never been fans of the double standard the whole Chris Brown situation has been consistently reflecting since his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna. For starters there was that freebie of a verdict we think he received: community service and probation.
And now that ABC has basically swept the whole dressing room freak-out under the rug in order to protect Brown for his stint tonight on "Dancing With the Stars," the network seems to be sending him the message that his dangerous 'tude is A-OK.

Newsflash, it's not. Cheryl Burke obviously thinks so.
"As a victim of domestic violence, I don't agree with him coming on the show, but it's out of my control," the "DWTS" pro dished to Extra.

Brown is set to perform two songs tonight, but he might have to introduce himself for obvious reasons

"Dancing With the Stars" host Tom Bergeron asked show producers to keep him as far away from Brown as possible during his guest number on the hit dancing competition.
.Bergeron dished to Ryan Seacrest: "I did tell the producers it may be to their advantage to not have me interview him."
Great idea since not only would it be really awkward, but you never know when that fuse will burst. We hope Tom disapproves of the show's decision to honor C.B.'s invitation after that dressing-room tirade as much as Burke does!

It's too bad the tight-knit ABC family isn't registering Brown's anger levels as dangerous red flags. He seemed about to Hulk out of his cut-off jean vest during that GMA interview, and now ABC's willing to risk a potential freak-out repeat (we all know it's only a matter of time until the next one) by having him on its airwaves again.
Also, even though the network denies it, we have been assured by reliable ABC sources that mission numero uno—as far as its Brown coverage goes—would be to facilitate a "sitdown" between Chris and Rihanna.
..Reps for Brown and Rihanna still have not said if their clients would ever be interested in such a public spectacle, which, of course, is exactly what it would be, as ABC well knows.

The guy beat his girlfriend to a pulp for Christ's sake! That's not something ABC, or any member of Team Breezy, should be proud of endorsing or putting on air. You know why?

Just one reason is this constant, "forget about it" 'tude that Brown keeps sporting sends a message to his fans, and to stupid potential GFs: Moral standards are unnecessary if you're a celeb.
Bottom line, when you ef up your cushy double-standard comeback, you've really effed up, and Team Truth is one less team that will be singing "Yeah 3x" to that

First Celebrity Contestant Eliminated On 'Dancing With The Stars'; Chris Brown Gets Standing Ovation, Twice - News - Yahoo! TV

In his first return to the ABC network since his shattered window incident at "Good Morning America" a week ago, the singer thrilled the crowd - first with a rendition of his latest hit, "Yeah 3X," off his latest album "F.A.M.E."

Bailey "B-Boy" Munoz from dance crew Future Funk opened the number, doing some hip-hop dancing, before Chris took to the stage alongside a host of costumed dancers. He appeared to lip-sync through the performance, but his energetic moves had the crowd and the "Dancing" judges - Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli -- on their feet.

Chris' second number - a medley of his hit "Forever" and "Beautiful People" - was also a crowd pleaser.

Full of dancers coated in neon lights like the singer, Chris worked up a big sweat on the dance floor and again, the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

So much talent! Btw...Good Morning America set this kid up. They were supposed to be promoting his new Album and instead turned the WHOLE interview into bringing up the past. Go Chris, your talent is AMAZING!

to be fair, the audience at DWTS gives standing ovations to everyone in the free world.

That said, Chris was great at his dancing, but he lip synced worse than Brit. But, all i could think of was how crazy he is

God that was the worst lip sync job EVER. Seriously, I think it was worse than Twitney's.

I don't watch DWTS, but I don't think this will hurt their ratings.
