Yea, you need to catch it at the beginning of the show if you've never seen it before--thats when they explain what the hell the game is about and how it works. It's kind of bizarre and weird, yet, strangely intriguing. A game of chance! It's not about skill, or intelligence.....a total moron like myself could walk off w/a million smackers. Ahhh...maybe someday!

It's been on here for about a year and is totally addictive! It has the prime 5.30-6pm slot before all the national news progs. It's not really a 'game' as such - it requires absolutely no skill whatsoever, just luck and how greedy you are.

Funny. We talked about this show in class. As a group of ecomonist in training, we think the contestants dont make smart decisions.

^^No, they don't make good decisions. Because of what AO said: greed.

    It's a beautiful thing!!

I find it very entertaining. I'd love to be on that show! You dont need to know or do anything, its all about luck and chance.

Funny how people get greedy though. You go on the show with NOTHING, so be happy with anything.

You should see the Aussie version though; the host is a fuckwit and never stops talking. He's got the kind of face you want to smash as well.

I've seen the show and I dont hate it, but I also am not a fan of it...I get bored about half way through, since it is basically just a show about opening briefcases...how many times can you watch that before its like, ok I get it.

I could understand how it could be exciting if you knew the person playing or were playing yourself, since then you'd care how much money they won or lost...

The Aussie presenter is Andrew O'Keefe and StayYoung is right - he's an irritating wanker with the most ANNOYING laugh on TV. I've spoken to people who watch this show in other countries and it seems that each version is slightly different. It's the same principle, but they tweak it to suit each country. For example, in the Aussie version each case holder tries to guess what's in their case just before they open it and if they guess right they get $1000. I'm not sure but I think only one person has walked away with the top prize, A$200,000.

My entire enjoyment is the pure sadistic pleasure of watching someone allow their greed to prevail over common sense or the obvious risks and turn down a big offer, only to crash and burn. It's called schadenfreude.
