'Charmed' being cancelled

NEW YORK (AP) - The spell is broken. The witches on "Charmed" won't be making the move when the WB network combines forces with UPN to become the CW network in the fall.

A WB spokesman confirmed a TV Guide report on Friday that said the supernatural series, which stars Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs, will end after eight seasons in May.

With "7th Heaven" having already announced its exit, it means that two WB long-running series won't move to the CW. The WB and UPN will both shut down in September.

The final episode of "Charmed" will air on May 21, TV Guide said.

"It's been a hell of a run," Brad Kern, executive producer, told the magazine. "But all good things must come to an end."

What a coincedence, my mom is a fan of this show too. I only catched like 2 episodes and I never understood any of it, except that Rose McGowan is hot as hell.

The show was lame from the git go, everytime I'd tune they were way off with anything original. They should have dumped it when Shannon Dog-herty left.

I was a big fan of this show, but stopped watching this season...I mean, it was silly before, but this season was just TOO silly...the changing of their look and then the new witch girl and all that was just ugh.

Frankly I'm not surprised its being cancelled...its been going downhill for the past couple seasons...

We were really into it when it first started and then the last few years with the babies and all that, it was just too much of a headache to follow. Too silly after awhile.

My 12 year old daughter is obsessed with t and it drives me mad. Im glad it is being cancelled.

I thought it had been cancelled sometime ago. I saw an episode where one of the girls Piper had her baby. Cheryl Ladd was a "bad" stepmother-to-be but was really there to take the baby to the evil side. This was like two weeks ago I ran across it on TBS I think. Didnt know it was still on.
