Where the fuck is Alexander Skarsgard? At least Stephen Moyer didn't get nominated instead, that would have pissed me right the hell off, but ffs give Hugh Laurie a rest and give others a chance.

When Hugh Laurie stops being great in his role they can give him a rest, but he's still doing a great job on House.

Alexander Skarsgard had a fairly small role this season, it would probably put him in the running for supporting actor, which they throw everything into. The field is so big on that one and every actor that got nominated in that category had significant roles (except for maybe Piven, don't watch Entourage, so I can't make claims to that). Maybe next year he'll have more to do and will be able to earn the nomination.

honestly, i'm still waiting to see skarsgard's allegedly amazing acting talent in 'true blood'. maybe his role just isn't big enough yet but so far, he's good but i'm not seeing greatness.
sorry to all the fantards, hope i don't get stoned for saying this.

i don't think 'entourage' deserved to be nominated this season.

i'm glad 'glee' picked up so many nominations, especially lea michele and jane lynch but really, matthew morrison? out of all the great actors in that show, he gets nominated? i guess it's because he's the only male in a lead role and he's good and all but i wish kurt had gotten nominated. there should be a 'best ensemble' category and 'glee' would win it hands down.

and 'julie and julia'? really? meryl streep deserves the nomination but her performance and the 'julia child' part of the movie are the only good things in that film. the julie the annoying blogger part of the movie with amy smart sucks balls.

best foreign film should go to 'broken embraces' or 'the white ribbon'.

I agree. As much as I love Alex, his role really wasn't significant enough to put him on the radar for nominations. That said, with his supposedly expanded role in S3, feel free to bitch up a storm if he's ignored next year.

I'm still pissed he was ignored in Gen Kill, though. That was some bullshit right there. Little Doritt my ass.

The best with Skarsgard this year was at the church when he went into hillbilly mode. the rest was either crying blood or being eye candy for me... I do hope he will have a much bigger role next season...
when does that next book come out?

Next book is due in May.

I'm more pissed that Nelsan/Lafayette didn't get a nomination. His role was small as well, but his performance is just so explosive. How could they ignore that?

Thomas Jane nominated and Nelsan Ellis ignored? This makes no fucking sense.

Alex's acting is very subtle, it builds and accumulates very slowly and you have to pay close attention. If you go to YouTube and watch all of The Best of Eric Northman vids in succession you can't help but see why I rave about him. He has done an extradordinary job with the amount of screen time he's been given and he's done it with exceptional skill and charisma. He's even got great comedic timing and instincts! I can't think of a situation they could put him in on True Blood in which he could not rise to the challenge. The skillful and adroit combination of horrifying menace and matter-of-fact hilarity as he tore the redneck to shreds while wearing highlighting foils? Classic.

no doubt he has great scenes. i just don't think he's been given enough screen time.

This list sucks except for Michael C. Hall/Dexter.

I hope Michael C Hall finally gets some love for this role. I'd also like to see Inglorious Basterds win!

Didn't Michael C Hall just get accuserd of beating his gf? If so, I don't think they're gonna give him anything.
