Default The Road - Viggo Mortensen's new film

saw a special screening of 'The Road' with a pastor last week......WOW........Viggo Mortensen should receive at least an Oscar nomination for this work. The kid (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who plays his son should also receive a nomination. I read Cormac McCarthy's book earlier this year. The film is multi-dimensional on all kinds of levels.

    This is a Must See!

Looks like another one of those 'post apocalyptic run for your life against marauding gangs good guy dies saving the world ends with hope' movies.

It is intriguing though that it's based on the book by that dude who wrote no country for old men

I work in a bookstore, and we have had the movie tie in cover on the shelves for a while now. Before I saw the preview, I thought it was Christian Bale that was going to be in it. From the cover, when you just glance at it occasionally as you are walking by, it looks like him (or I thought so, anyway).

I'll probably read the book first, then see the movie.

I read somewhere that VM was going to be working on Eastern Promises 2. That is one I'd like to see. He was great in the first one.

Viggo should have received much more acclaim for his work in "Eastern Promises" it was an incredible film.
