Default The Book of Eli (Denzel Washington's upcoming movie)

I love Denzel but yet another 'post-apocalyptic' flick with the lone hero kicking ass and saving the world, wouldn't be surprised if he befriends a dog

(by the way why does like 99% of all movie trailers begin with the phrase, 'they say....')

The trailer didn't hook me. It's like a combination of 'I Am Legend' and 'Resident Evil.'

Denzel is getting a little too old to be playing these kinds of action roles where he kicks everybody's ass by himself. Just like Bruce Willis in the last Die Hard movie.

They have a new HD clip. I swear it is I am Legend meets Mad Max in a Fallout 3 type of world. This gave me a good laugh.

i'd watch Denzel read the ingredients on a can of corn. I'll go see it.

The second trailer is much better than the first one. Visually, the movie is stunning, but it still doesn't hook me.

Soon as I saw Gary Oldman I was in.

Funny I spent the whole weekend reserching I am Legend, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, and Richard Matheson's books, including Cell by Stephen King which was dedicated to Matheson IIRC.

There's a consensus that no one has done the "Last Man Alive" film the right way.

I thought I am Legend was brilliant until they fucked it up with the CGI zombies that looked straight out of a video game.

Doesn't hook me either. I'll give this one a pass.

The first half of I Am Legend was pretty good but then it seemed to turn into a chase/action movie.

Its funny, when I saw I Am Legend I screamed that I needed to buy it on DVD. Didnt like the zombies, no, but I got over it. The minute that dog died the movie got out of control terrible, and when it ended I asked my girlfriend to remind me to not buy that mess on DVD.

What killed it? The other survivors, IMHO. That, and killing the woman he had just cured, blowing all of them to bits including himself. That messed up the movie for me, big time. Spoiler, highlight to read.

I agree, and it wasn't in the original story. BTW there's an alternate ending if you didn't know.

^ The entire movie is different than the original story.

I meant there's an alternate ending to the movie. You can find it on youtube.

It interests me. Also I saw a trailer for Legion this weekend that really intrigued me.

i just saw this tonight and i really liked it.

denzel at 80 will be way more believable as a guy kicking ass than travolta in "from paris, with love" - that preview was laughable!!
