Default First look: Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in 'Iron Man 2'

(Gawd will filmmakers never learn that multiple villains does not make a better super hero movie? Jeezus now you spend TWICE the amount of time "introducing" each villain and how they got to be that way, etc. etc. etc. What's next, Iron Man 3 with four fawking villains?)

Access Hollywood - First Look: Mickey Rourke As Whiplash In 'Iron Man 2'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Paramount has released the first peek at Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, and he's geared up to wreck havoc for Tony Stark in "Iron Man 2." The actor is seen sporting a partial exoskeleton with a power pack on his chest reminiscent of Iron Man's own.

The character's alter ego, Ivan Vanko, is a Russian who "has constructed his own version of a suit," director Jon Favreau told USA Today. He also wields a pair of whips, which are powered by his exoskeleton and should make him a formidable foe for the armored superhero.
Rourke told the paper that Whiplash "is going to light them up."

Whiplash, along with The Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) will take on Iron Man in the eagerly anticipated sequel, due in theaters May 7, 2010.

Sad thing is that he probably didn't need any scary makeup for the movie.

What the hell happened to this man? I prefer to remember him this way:

I know Buttmunch, it's like two different people.

That body is very fit. A very hard body indeed. Did I say he looked very hard and fit?

I sure hope there are some special effects coming for that costume. Looks like my 4 year old nephew put it together.

The only thing that's missing is a bag to cover his head.

    I think he'll be phenomenal in IM2.

Also, it'll be nice for him to act in a huge blockbuster hit for a change and to get even more recognition for his talent!

Got to admit the guy doesn't look bad for 56...body wise.

This isn't the finished suit, right? Looks like the very first scene where his technology would be introduced. Has he stripped down his prison uniform to put that thing on, lol?
I saw a film today, oh boy.

He was something else long ago. I saw him a couple of weeks ago up close and he looks really rough. But I have a soft spot for him. I say go for it Mickey, Hollywood crapped on you years ago, now take advantage of everything that comes your way.
