I can't believe Famke Janssen turned down the lead role. She would have been amazing!

Oh no!! I couldn't sleep the whole time this mini-series was on in the 80's.
I think this came on the same year the Atlanta child murders... I don't know how I got any sleep as a child.
If I wasn't scared that a man with knives for fingers and a burnt face were going to kill me in my dreams, I had to worry about killer lizards and humans mating...then fuck there's a crazy fuck killing kids in Atlanta.

Yea I remember this mini series. I really miss those cool miniseries all the major channels used to have back in tha day.

The scenes I remember off the top of my head was one guy's hand was frozen in liquid nitrogen and it shattered against some railing, the 'outer skin' peeling to reveal alien underneath, alien birth, etc. Pretty gruesome for network t.v. back then.

Oh. My. Gosh. This shit kept me up at night as an 8 yr. old. This shit gave me anxiety like nothing else at that young age. Even with the bad special FX in retrospect, that series still clearly recalls the willies I had as a child.

The scene I most recall is the one with the worst FX. The one where the female alien leader Diana shows her true reptile colors and swallows a live hamster as Marc Singer watches horrified through the air vent.

Hello, Scott Wolf, where've you been? (Is he gay?)

I had the opposite reaction to V as a kid. I couldn't get enough of it. I watched the original mini-series, V: The Final battle and I watched the tv series. It looks cheesy as hell now, but in the 80's it was the shit.

The scene that I remember the most was when the girl Robin gave birth to the twins, one human looking and the other a lizard.

This new mini-series looks sleeker as far as special effects, but it doesn't look like it'll measure up to the original, cheesy though it was.

Oh god, the birthing scene was the other most memorable scene. Will forever be horribly etched into my little child mind.

Parents, don't let your kid see this if they're under 12/13.

Yes. This used to scare me too when I was a kid! I think I saw part of one episode and that was it for me!

Diana (Jane Badler) was badass! She was my favorite character.

I was scared when the teenager, Robin Maxwell's alien baby came out.

    Rock the fuck on!

Cool! I remember watching the original with my mom. The guy who plays the priest in the trailer was on The 4400 which I loved, and the V remake is exec produced by the creator of 4400.

Couldn't find anything on imdb (except for subscription imdb pro, not sure what the big secret is) but here's the ABC site blurb on it:

    Fall Preview - Fall Schedule - V - ABC.com

And no, Scott Wolf isn't gay! Bailey? Nevah!

^Hey you never know, it's always the cutest ones...

I sort of liked Robert Englund's character but I remember they painted him as a tragic character from the beginning and I knew something bad was gonna happen to him so I couldn't let myself get too attached.
