No, the guy across from me had the last name Karnezis. Which I think was the last name of Greece's goalie.

Bummer for the US! Tim Howard is a bad ass though. Seriously impressive.

Very exciting overtime. The US had it in front of Belgium's goal numerous times at 1-2, but couldn't seal the deal.

Aha, so Belgium won? I passed out in front of the TV before the end. The time difference is killing me with this World Cup, good thing the next one is in Russia.

Mo, Karnezis is not a terribly common last name but quite a few people have it. And it is the goalie's name. Handsome guy but he got nailed with a completely dumb goal in our match with Costa Rica. *sniffle* Still can't get over that stupid match, we were so close to qualifying!

What if Superman is psychotic and everyone can see that he's Clark Kent but they just play along not to set him off?

Howard is amazing! I hated him so much yesterday :-). His value went up with every shot (16!!!) he stopped!

At least, I'll be able to watch the rest of the World Cup for the pure enjoyment now. Looking forward to Germany vs. France. Columbia vs. Brazil. Both on July 4.

^^ That's how I feel. And watching it for pure enjoyment will be sooo much less stressful. Also, the Tour De France starts this weekend so that helps! I guess I'll root for Belgium now. Also, I love all of the press Howard is getting.. he deserves every accolade he gets.

What a heart breaker!!! They fought so hard though, especially in the 2nd half of the overtime.

And WOW!!! Tim Howard is a fucking BEAST!!!! He seems like such a humble and sweet man....and a what a smile!!! I learned last week that he also suffers from Tourette's Syndrome. What an amazing role model he is for any young athlete that is facing that and any other disability. I hear he visits a ton of schools and youth soccer kids and talks with them about reaching your goals, no matter your obstacles in life.

How about that young little Green coming out in his first World Cup game and, BOOM!!! Scoring that awesome goal!!

I also want to give a BIG shout out to Jones!! All his injuries and still getting up and continuing to play,....even getting BLASTED in the face/nose with a ball...with a broken nose. Same with Dempsey in the last game....broken nose and taking a direct shot to it and continuing on.

Awesome drive, spirit and love of the game. Big props to them all....VERY proud of the USA. 1N1T!!!
