Serena didnt own up to anything in the post match thing, because she never thinks anything she does is wrong.
if she loses a match, she will not say her opponent played great, she says its because she played terribly.
i like Venus, but Serena has turned into a giant man/woman with no class.

Serena has never had any class. Venus does seem nice though.
Del potro is playing good at the moment against Nadal. I thought he'd win in 4, looks like it could be in 3.

Rafa has that abdominal strain, so i dont know if he can pull out this match.
i hope he does though.

i didnt think he could make it pass semi in the beginning of the tournament. looks like i was right. i hate being right at these things.
this match is borderline boring cos rafa has zero game.
i hate the fed/joker match will be at least a bit more exciting.

Del Potro is just too good for Nadal on hard courts. They are Nadal's 'worst' surface.

Yeah - that too. She has the body and arms of a pro boxer now. Do tennis players have to do drug tests? I'd be interested to know her results.

yeah they do get tested. unfortunately the problem with tests is that they are usually years behind the drugs available to juicers.
still, tennis is, overall, a 'cleaner' sport than most others. i don't know if serena is juicing or if it's just her naturally nasty disposition. i admit i've never cared for her. venus seems a lot less arrogant and obnoxious.

they have a new anti-doping policy in effect this year. part of it states (in part) that the player has to have an accounting of their whereabouts for every day of the year. Not sure why. (and i think its down to the hour)
i dont know what they test for, but Richard Gasquet got busted for cocaine, and received a 2 mo suspension. he said he got it when he kissed a girl in a club, that had cocaine in her system.
if you look at pics of Serena from the beginning and then from now, you'd really have to wonder if she was on steroids.

oh i'm sure they'll review it all, and then punish her 'accordingly'. Like making her play in more tournaments than the 10 she plays in now.

That Serena incident was funny. But you know you've gone too far when John McEnroe says it was too much.
Although I expect her father to blame 'racism' at some point and absolve Serena of any responsibility.

she got fined 10,000 dollars for her tirade, and 500 for racket abuse. Considering she's earned over 25 million dollars in her career AND 350,000 for the this US Open, they better do something else. What kind of message does this send to the kids that look up to her?

Her fine sounds in line with the average fines that most athletes get. But with the millions they make, paying a fine of a few thousand isn't going to hurt.
All sports need to start having harsher penalties that include suspensions, temp-bans and lifetime bans for repeat offenders.
