Canada is racking up golds like crazy!

The U.S bobsledder who was tearing during the anthem melted by cold heart.

Did I hear correctly that it's been confirmed speed skater Charles Hamelin will carry Canada's flag in the closing ceremonies tonight? I was really hoping for and expecting it to be skier Alexandre Bilodeau - he made history after all.

Still, I'm happy for Hamelin too.

Maybe we did live up to our "Own the Podium" motto. We just need to win this afternoon's hockey game to have the most gold medals ever by any nation in the Winter Olympics. Damn! It's gonna happen. The Canadians aren't going to give this one up.

I thought it'd be Bilodeau or Joannie Rochette. I was a little surprised that Billy Demong will carry for the USA, but good for him.

I was annoyed yet again with NBC's choppy coverage of the figure skating exhibition gala last night. They'd show one skater and then it'd be 30 minutes of something else. I ended up missing almost everyone except Yu-Na Kim, Evan Lysacek, and Virtue/Moir.

Well, I will be cheering for the US. Should Canada win,I will be just as happy! A silver is hardly a disgrace. Canada has put on the best Games and I have enjoyed every minute of them. Yea Canada!

NBC's coverage of the Exhibition skate was really disappointing. Actually, NBC's coverage throughout the whole Games was disappointing. Fortunately, CTV's coverage in Canada was really exceptional.

I agree - either way, both teams are winners. I live in Sidney Crosby's hometown and people are already gathering and celebrating. It will be crazy if Canada wins.

I have to give props to all of the athletes. Each and every one made for a really exciting Olympic games. Regardless their nation, it was heartbreaking when one didn't earn a medal or reach their Olympic dream after dedicating 4 long years (or more) to their sport and country. That said, we saw underdogs come from nowhere to stand on the podium. There were sad stories like the Georgian Luger and Joannie Rochette and some triumphant ones like veteran snowboarder Jasey-Jay Anderson who earned Gold while some felt he was past his prime. We caught glimpses of the new generation of talent coming up the ranks, like the Hamelin brothers and J.R. Celski in speed skating. There was a lot of patriotism and sportsmanship among the fans. Overall, an excellent Winter games.

My favorite moment so far: Gold for Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir and Canada coming from wayyyyy behind to end with the most gold medals after our "Own the Podium" gaffe.

Ultimate favorite moment: If Canada wins hockey gold

No matter the outcome of today's hockey game, the U.S. will have won more medals in one single winter games than any other country. We rock.

The best thing about it was that we didn't expect to do well at ALL! Never entered anyones mind! Just a collective "WOW"!

Intermission - Time for some Stompin' Tom Connors

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZWxErEbQkY&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - Stompin Tom Connors - The Hockey Song

This game is hard to watch - bad for the heart. For awhile there I was screaming at my TV for Canada to start to playing near the US net. There was too much action up the other end.

Yay Canada, though I'm not going to get too excited yet.
