Congrats to the Celtics! I'm glad they didn't win in game 5, their victory was so much sweeter in Boston.

I started to feel bad for the Lakers for a while there - not sure what happened to me? That was one heck of a humiliating loss. Hopefully now all the comparisons with Kobe being on the same level as Jordan will stop. Jordan would have never given up the way Kobe did last night.

Also...I've never heard a crowd chant so loudly and clearly as the Boston crowd did when they sang, "na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!"

Yea, I was reading a sports commentator a few hours ago, he made the excellent point that Jordan would never have quit and flaked out like Kobe did, nor would Bird or McHale for that matter. If Jordan was on the floor there was no way Pierce and company would have been celebrating with 4 minutes left. Kobe does not have that killer instinct, it was an utterly embarrassing performance from the supposed league MVP.

It was like watching a car wreck, I think many Lakers fans kept watching and started rooting for the Celtics, it was so unbelievably pathetic. It's one thing to lose putting forth an honest effort, quite another to give up after one quarter.

If I wasn't watching it, I would have never thought that those were the 'real' Lakers playing!! Great job Boston, and KG!!

i acted like a fool, screaming and yelling, even got teary eyed when KG did. its been so damned long, suffering thru all of the losses, losing Lenny Bias, Reggie, Paul Pierce for 47 games last year. now its celebration time! and as for Pineapple head Kobe? 2nd place is for losers.

Did anyone else notice Ellen Pompeo's husband on the sideline? All of a sudden they showed this man with a white shirt and a (ready for it?) green woman's scarf tied around his neck. At first I thought he must be some sports figure that I recognized, then I realized who it was. I told my husband who promptly reminded me that I spend too much time here.
