    Isn't one a teacher? Incredible!

ETA: Time trials going past my work, wish I had booked some time off now to go watch. Good luck Team GB!

In which rowing event did the Brits get gold? I am excited about the women's 8 tomorrow. The US has not lost in 6 years but the Canadians are right up their ass this year. I know 2 of the girls rowing for the US and 1 rowing for Canada. I'm getting up tomorrow at 4 to watch the live stream for that event.

Bradley Wiggins is having a great year. First he wins the Tour de France, now this! Well done to both of them though.

Cookie- They've asked Bradley to take part in the Velidrome events.

Speaking of that, I just saw for the first time the floor event where Russian Ksenia Afanasyeva crashed and burned at the end of her signature event. I can't find it on Youtube to embed it, but here is a link to a page with the video:

those jackets the Russian team have on give me a headache

she had leg separation in the pre flight off the springboard. almost every gymnast gets this deduction, it's practically impossible not to do it in a reverse approach vault.

if i were judging, i would have added a deduction for not knowing how to spell Michaela.

HOW EXCITING!!!! It looks like so much fun too! Post more if you get luck and get the cyclists.

and @ MOHANDAS - thanks for that other link - That Russians routine is far superior performance/dance wise than any other shown. Last night I kept thinking I was missing points being shown on the screen, or the numbers of the offical standings - after that article it appears they were purposely left out and we were not told what the margin was to win the gold. I feel a bit disgusted.

James Magnusson loses swimming gold (again) by 0.01 second and faces the fact that he's human after all. Australia mourns.

Aussie swimmer are much admired and respected by the US swimmers. Everytime the Aussies get the most scrutiny, before and after races. This has not been one of their best, but no one will be taking them lightly. I wonder if the realize that.
