The relay is going to be close, but our bunch is highly competitive. Course, those Aussies...

I live with a couple of Norwegians and I can hear one of them screeching and screaming whilst she watches the handball against France

Misty and Keri were not that great in Beach Volleyball. They won both sets, but it was by mostly luck (mistakes by the Aussies). They're gonna have to step it up if they want a third gold.

I think they will. A win is a win, but I love watching them and trying to figure out the hand signals!

Can't wait to see women's gymnastics. Apparently there's already some upsets.

Olympic Gymnast Jordyn Wieber Fails to Qualify for All-Around Final

Shock and awe on the London Games' gym floor.

As expected, Team USA's female gymnastics team dominated the competition at Sunday's preliminary rounds -- finishing 11 points ahead of second-place Britain -- but the day's events ended in heartbreak for fan favorite Jordyn Wieber.

Losing just two all-around competitions since 2008, 17-year-old Wieber was distraught after she placed behind her Team USA colleagues Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas, delivering shaky performances during her balance beam and floor exercise routines.

"I was really surprised, and I feel awful because she wanted it so bad," Wieber's closest friend on the team -- and the one who knocked her out of contention -- Raisman said. "But she should still feel proud because she's an Olympian. We have to stay calm and focused on team finals."

Wieber's Team USA colleague, national team coordinator Martha Karolyi, applauded the teen for her efforts Sunday, sympathizing with the odds-on favorite. "I would be very disappointed, too. She is reigning world champion, also U.S. champion. Today she wasn't quite as sharp," Karolyi admitted. "She was very good but not quite as sharp and the other two girls surpassed her. So we will give her all the support. I think she gave a very nice effort, no major errors. What can you do? Sport is sport."

Raisman and Douglas -- the only two allowed to represent Team USA -- will join 22 other athletes to compete for the all-around title Tuesday, the biggest gymnastic prize in this year's Games.

Oh they'll find an excuse - water was too wet probably. There is such a huge burden of expectation on our athletes they start believing their own hype so when someone proves to be *shock* better they just can't handle it.

I never thought the Aussie guys had a chance but I was cheering the French dude home. That was a great finish to a race.
