    Wimbledon ban skimpy tennis outfits

Monday, June 26 2006, 10:07 BST - by Matt Houghton

Wimbledon organisers The All England Lawn Tennis Club have imposed a ban on skimpy tennis outfits ahead of this year's tournament.

The prestigious competition has seen a gradual relaxing of dress code over the last decade and bosses are keen to re-enforce standards.

With an influx of tennis stars such as Anna Kournikova and Maria Sharapova wearing smaller and more revealing outfits in recent years anything deemed "too sexy or low-cut" will be outlawed, according to The Sun.

The Wimbledon tournament begins at 1pm today.

Thank God. Bring some elegance back. The players look like shit now. I request tennis whites, long hair on the men, and nice legs. Is that too much to ask?

I hope so. Of course, there's no regulating taste, but maybe this will help.

Serena was out with an injury, so she wasn't even in Wimbleton this year. I like her, but she does wear some WILD shit!
