    Question FIFA World Cup!

Considering how many european immigrants live in Toronto, the whole city has gone soccer crazy. Does anybody pay attention to this thing?

All I know is that Germany just stomped all over Poland. Deutschland Uber Alles!

Yes, millions of people pay attention to the World Cup...

It is only the USA that doesnt pay attention to this...

Never is too late to make a change.

It's madness down here. Well, at least when Mexico played on Sunday, and it will be for their upcoming games. We have TV in the office so as to not miss a minute.

    Viva la verde!

it was a close one with poland! the goal was literally in the last minute. germany shot it in the 3 minutes extra time that the game was given until then it was 0:0! we're happy!

and as the german fans like to sing: "wir fahren nach berlin" (we are driving/going to Berlin) - meaning we are going to be in the final!

I don't watch soccer at all because it's not really and American thing but, ever since seeing the Nike commercials I'm obsessed with Ronaldinho. I have set my tivo for all the Brazil games. it's actually fun watching them play. But, as soon as the world cup ends I'll go back to my baseball and NFL.

I follow it alot, Germany didn't quite stomp all over Poland. The score was only 1-0. US doesn't really follow it, it's a great sport.

I don't really follow it as such but I still get excited which is why I'm sat here in work in a red and white ensemble We finish at 3 to go to a pub with a free buffet and drinks, can't say better than that can you?

Everyone's in a happy mood today, we are playing Trinidad & Tobago.

See, I'd love to be in Germany right now.. I've always wanted to go, and it would be fun to be a Canadian wandering around with a Bundesdienstflagge wrapped around me.

OOo i could have lots of german beer too.. mmmm.

*sniffles* My people! so far away.

The goalie from Poland looks exactly like my friend (who interestingly enough played pro soccer for Poland).

I'm loving World Cup, I think I need to start watching soccer on a regular basis.

Am I the only one who thinks that the World Cup ball looks like it's covered in pantyliners? See it here! http://www.soccerballworld.com/Teamgeist.htm

Yeah, some of the panels look like pantyliners. This a completely new ball for the World Cup.

Yeah, what a game! I'm sure the Italian team will get their butts whipped in the written press today for not being able to win 10 to 9.

The Netherlands are going World Cup crazy. Everything is orange here.
I must admit I've put up some orange streamers outside our house as well
And after the match agains Ivory Coast Friday evening, we're through to the next round already YAY!
Next Wednesday our team plays Argentine... At my office everyone will come to work dressed in an orange shirt wednesday.
    It's good fun.
