Lions game was blacked out in Detroit (figures we'd miss the first win, right?), but I caught the Vikings win over SF. Great ending, and I'm no Favre fan.

It's been a great sports day for N.Y. teams. The Giants and Jets are both 3-0 and in baseball the Yanks beat the Red Sox for their 100th victory, won the AL East and clinched homefield advantage in the playoffs.

Hmmmpf, guess the Tigers will just have to beat the Yanks on their own turf to take it. Speaking of which, I'm off to the Tigers game vs. the Twins tomorrow night in Detroit. A guy who calls on people in our office came up with suite tickets, so we're all going. Loving the abundance of sports freebies lately - last week the University of Michigan game, this week the Tigers. Free is good.

Free is good. And while I hope the Yanks spank the Tigers and everyone else, I won't get my hopes up since they keep choking in the playoffs.

Yeah, well the Tigers are currently semi-choking in the stretch. They lost today to Chicago when they should have been winning, because the Twins lost too. We needed to widen the gap and we didn't. Grrrr!!

Even if the Yanks choke in the playoffs AGAIN, I'll root for the Tigers, or any other team, to win it all. Anyone except the damn Red Sox.

I am enjoying football this season. Love my Giants AND loving that the Raiders lost again. Money can't buy that type of happiness

This is what sucks about living in san diego. The game wasn't onhere. It sucks being held hostage to the crap games that the networks THINK we want to watch

Great football this weekend!! I loved the Vikings game of course and the awesome catch in the last seconds of the game!

I was happy for Detroit as well.....they have been working hard and it showed!

I was also glad to see the Steelers get beat! Great game!

Just because I haven't seen one in this thread yet....GO COLTS. I don't care if they win or lose, that Peyton is just a sweetheart.

Colts kicked some ass last night there Boogs. Back in the saddle it seems.

Great weekend of football all around. Just seemed like a lot of the games were really close and had exciting finishes.

Hopefully tonight will NOT continue that trend.

No it wasn't. The Chiefs haven't won a single game since last November, not even a freakin' preseason. And the schedule is so tough, we're not expected to even have a fighting chance to win a game until Thanksgiving weekend. I'm done with football for this year.
