Well we do insist on a modicum of continuity in Detroit these days - with the current state of the economy and the Big 3 down to the Big 1 - it's nice to know that some things are around to maintain the faint hum of same shit, different day. You've heard of the Fearsome Foursome and the Purple Gang? In Detroit, we have the 'Silver Sieve' - everything gets through to the goal line. Practically gets escorted in.

^^Brookie, at least the Lions put points up on the board. The Rams lost to the Seahawks 28-0.
And a part of me is happy about that since Spagnola left the Giants to coach the Rams.

My Viks are off to a good start, and they looked good in the pre-season, too. Peterson is a damn beast and it is just breath taking beauty watching that man play the game. I hope this is our year,...to bad we couldn't do it WITHOUT Favre!!!

^...in the second half...I don't think you'd want to hang your season on the first half of that game. Peterson ran very well, what was in the fluids he got during half-time? But again, the Browns have been among the worst rushing defenses in the league for the last 10 years.

The Saints and Cowboys won. Woohoo! Dallas seems a bit shaky, though. I'm worried already.
I was looking forward to the the Bears and Packers putting on an edge of your seat game, not seeing everyone scratch their heads and ask which team would screw up next and how badly. SMH.

oh well,...I like to cheer for my team winning,...no matter how good or bad of a team they play. A win is still a win, and a loss is still a loss.
I hope all of your teams do well this week!!

Made me laugh too, gotta admit.
And I'll go on record and say that I really thought Buffalo should have beaten the Pats Monday night. Dumbass that fumbled the ball on the kickoff....lost it for them.

And that's the way it should be, Jade. Whether your team beats a good team or a bad team, a win is still a win. Enjoy it.

You know I'll be watching, Lynnie. This is the game that kicks off ALL of the smack talk between Giants and Cowboys fans this season. I just hope the Giants pull off a win.
But the good news so far was that the Eagles got destroyed by the Saints and the Jets beat the Patriots.
