Thanks, Sarzy. Once again, I loved watching the Kazakh guy win the race and his emotional reaction. It's just the kind of thing people watch the Olympics for.

Does anybody know which country the guy who crashed his bike was from? He was wearing a white shirt and had messed up his arm so badly he could only hold his bike with one hand and had to ride alongside an ambulance while the patched him up. At first, I thought it was a British guy, but now I'm not so sure.

^ I don't know where he was from but I don't think he was a Brit. I felt sorry for him, all that training and then you crash!

The final score of the USA vs Croatia win doesn't reflect how close the game really was. Croatia was within several points for much of the game, but ran out of gas toward the end of the 4th quarter. Croatia played much better than predicted.

The crasher was Bernhard Eisel and he's Austrian. He rides for Team Sky which is a mostly British Team so he's great friends with Mark Cavendish who GB was hoping to take the Gold today. A spectator accidentally hit him with a flag and he crashed and ended up with his hand in the spokes of another rider's bike. Cyclists are pretty tough. They finish races with broken bones, cut up body parts, etc. all the time. Much respect to them!

Vinokourov, the Gold Medalist is a former doper. Some are thinking he hasn't quit, and may lose the gold. That would be a real shame. Hopefully he was emotional because he did it the right way.

EDIT: Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland also crashed and rode in one handed. Could have been him as well.

I think I'm going to be sick of the Chariots of Fire music pretty soon.

I'm always amazed when the women swimmers take their caps off and they have long pretty hair - I'm just used to seeing them with their caps on and in swimsuits, you don't imagine they're feminine underneath (or blonde).

^That was a great win. Of course I'm biased but I thought the relay swim was amazing by the girls. The first time the Dutch team has been beaten since the last Olympics.

Right now, it's the US vs. South Korean women in volleyball. The South Korean women are amazing. They have a 6'7" woman on there team who is just crushing the ball.

Phelps is in Men's 200m Individual Medley, Men's 400m Individual Medley, Men's 100m Butterfly, Men's 200m Butterfly, and Men's 4x100m Medley Relay.
